Ricardo Mazzetti has finished in 4th place and Gurpreet has finished 7th. It cant get closer than that. This is really shattering.

49/50 from Mazzetti in the first half of the last round. He is looking good and Gurpreet is set to be on his way out.
Now, for Gurpreet Singh to qualify, Mazetti needs to shoot less than 93 in the last round. That is not likely to happen.
MAZZETTI shoots 99 in the second round and moves to fourth place.
Good start by Mazzetti in second round 49/50 in the first half. Holding tight in 5th place. This is going to be heartbreaking for Gurpreet if he misses out by two points.

Gurpreet's chances are really bleak and hanging by a thread. He needed to score at least two more to be in that top six spot. That 90 in the third round yesterday will keep playing in his mind.

Leuris Pupo from Cuba has occupied the sixth spot and it all depends on how Mazzetti and Oliver Geis shoot.
Just to remind viewers, it is not over yet. Ricardo Mazzetti is yet to shoot and should he fail miserably, Gurpreet can still qualify.
He shoots 49/50 in his last shots and goes up to 8th position. 581 in total, In all likelihood, Gurpreet is out.
Last five shots and nothing less than 50/50 will do for Gurpreet.
Gurpreet has a total score of 532 and is in 9th position. His chances are bleak.

An 8th position and should he finish with that, Gurpreet will look back at that 90 he shot in the third round and regret.
It looks really tough at the moment but if he can shoot a 99 or 100 in the last, Gurpreet will qualify.

Without wanting to jinx things for India, Mairaj Ahmad Khan is shooting really well and is in a qualification spot.
Trying to imagine what must be going on in Gurpreet Singh's mind at the moment. Will he be focused on just the event or he would be thinking about India's performance in shooting in general. Trust the Army man to be focused. He is trained for that.
The next set of shooters have also finished here and now 14 shooters remain in the fray. Since Gurpreet shot first yesterday, he is likely to shoot last today in my opinion.
LI Yuehong, who is in fourth position at the moment, scored 290 yesterday and 294 today. This means if Gurpreet can score 295 today, it will be sure shot qualification.
Gurpreet Singh will need to shoot at least 295/294 today if he needs to make it to the final six.
Just to throw in a bit of perspective, only two of the top six shooters right now have completed second rounds and both have shot significantly better than their first round.
He is in 10th position right now and should he score better than yesterday, his chances are great.
For all our Indian friends getting impatient, Gurpreet Singh is waiting in the wings for his turn.
