India's flag rises alongside the flags of Japan, Russia and Tunisia for the first time here at Rio 2016.
The Silver medal is given to the woman she lost in the quarterfinals. Koblova, who just could not hang onto her lead till the last moment. Its the Japanes who takes the gold medal as the national anthem of Japan is summoned at the Olympic training center in Rio.
This win also maintain India's 100% record in repechage rounds at the Olympics. They have never lost a repechage match in Olympic history.
A feet which would have been considered unreachable just a few years back has been achieved. The first woman wrestler to win an Olympic medal for India.
Sakshi's name is announced first. She gets on the podium all smiles. How proud must she feel to take a medal for her country here. An amazing moment in Indian sporting history.
And there she is. On the podium. Kept fighting till the end and she now has a Bronze medal to show for it.

We thought she was down and out after the first half of the repechage final when she was down 5-0. But Sakshi Malik has taught us to fight till the end.
We thought she had lost when she was 4-0 in her qualifiers. 3-0 down in her roundof 16 clash and then against the Russian.
Remember even PV Sindhu will be in action in the Women's singles Badminton. A win for her will ensure us a medal as well. Hopefully India can end Rio on a good note.
India are yet to win a Gold in wrestling at the Olympics but surely that is not too far away now. Maybe this time, with Yogeshwar and Narsingh, India has a shot at the grand prize.
