Medal update: Anna Korakaki (Greece) has won the Gold Medal in the Women's 25m Air Pistol event and Monika Karsch (Germany) is the winner of the Silver Medal.
Medal update: Heidi Diethelm-Gerber of Switzerland has won the Bronze Medal in Women's 25m Air Pistol
The bronze medal match will be played first and will be followed by the match for gold medal.
Semi-final update: The gold medal match will be contested between Anna Korakaki (Greece) and Monika Karsch (Germany). Korakaki scored 19 in the semi-final to finish on top while Karsch scored 18 in the semi-final
Semi-final update: Zhang Jinging (China) and Heidi Gerber Diethelm (Switzerland) are going to compete for the Bronze medal match after scoring 17 in the semi-final
Another disappointing day comes to an end for our shooters. There will be a lot riding on the next set of events but this was an average showing from Heena.

Here is the complete report of the qualifying event.
And that is that from this phase of the event. Jingjing Zhang tops the leaderboard with 592! The only shooter to hit a score above 590 from the field!
Anna Korakaki finishes her round with a score of 584. A bitter end for the Greek shooter, 297 and 287 from her two rounds.
Zhang has created an Olympic Record with her score of 592! She beats the score set in London 2012 by Jangmi Kim, who posted 591!
Monika Karsch of Germany sneaks into third with a score of 583. Just to compare, Heena scored 576.
Ekaterina Korshunova moves up to second. She is still behind Zhang though. The Russian has scored a 99 and a 48 so far in this round.
Heena though stays in 18th. She cannot do anything to help her ranking though. The 26-year-old has completed all her shots.
Korakaki's first round scores were 100, 99, 98. She starts this round with a 93!. The Greek falls down to third place!
Wow! This was not expected, Korakaki only shoots a 93! That World Record is gone!
The second batch fo shooters are yet to take their first shots in this round. Korakaki is the one to keep an eye on.

Only the top 8 will qualify and with Heena being 18th. There is no chance she will make it into the next round.
The wait is excruciating, not only has Heena been knocked out more or less, we are still waiting for Korakaki to shoot!
And Atanu has done it! We are still waiting for Korakaki but there is something for the Indians to cheer!
It is yet another tough day for the Indian shooting contingent but can Atanu bring a smile and continue with his great performance?

The Indian shooter will most probably slide down the rankings when the other shooters take to the range. 18th at the moment.
Heena really could have done better but this is still an experience for the 26-year-old. Hopefully she should be back, stronger and better for 2020!
Korakaki is still to take up a shot in this round. Can she make it to the semis stage?

The shooter of this round has to be the Chinese star Zhang. 299 out of 300, phenomenal stuff!
She performed much better in the Rapid Fire stage by scoring 290/300 but it was not enough. All Indian women shooters are out of Rio Olympics 2016.
Zhang has finished taking her shots and finishes with 592. All eyes are now on Korakaki.
She is in 18th position and it is a rather disappointing end for the Indian shooter.
Heena is currently in 18th and it seems to be all over for the Indian at this event.
She has finished her round and it is 97/100, taking her total score of 576/100. Heena Sidhu is out of contention for qualification to the semi-final
The semi of the event would take place at midnight. Can Zhang continue her hot streak?

Heena starts the final round with 48/50 and that is not bad again. But I am afraid it will not be good enough.
Many shooters are still left to take their first shots of this round. A lot could change in a few minutes!
Last round for Heena and it could well be the end of the road in Rio 2016 Olympics.

Boneva of Bulgaria has moved up to fifth in the standings. Still has hopes of making it into the semi-finals.
Her total score is 480/500 in total and it is not looking good. Even if she scores 100 it will be tough for her to qualify.
Zhang does not hit the centre of the target! She scores a 99 in the second stage of this round! 199 so far in the second round!
97/100 in the second series, she is now in 19th position.
Her Rapid Fire score till now is 144/150 and she is in the second series.
