U Mumba are victorious! They had taken a 5-1 lead after the second match and a 7-2 lead after the third but squandered it away as Manav Thakkar failed to repeat his heroics from the last match and lost 0-3 to Duda. Diya was tasked with the responsibility of winning that one crucial game that they needed and she delivered when it was needed the most!

To start off, Quadri Aruna got a terrific 3-0 win against Sharath Kamal, which was followed by Lily Zhang winning the women's singles. The same repeated in the mixed doubles but that's when the game turned on its head.

Benedikt Duda got Chennai right back in the game as he secured a perfect win to counter. Yangzi Liu won the first game and it was 6-7 in favour of U Mumba. That's when Diya Chitale stepped up and won one very crucial game to avoid taking it into the last game of the match.

U Mumba TT will be pleased with their performance overall but they will hope that they can better this going forward and secure some more comfortable wins. As for Chennai, they will rue the missed opportunities and will want to comeback stronger in their next game.
