Before we sign off, a couple of tweets.

A game of two halves as USA dominated the first half while Wales struggled. Timothy Weah - son of the legendary George Weah, slotted in the opening goal to give USA a deserved lead. But Rob Page made a crucial change bringing on target man Kieffer Moore who changed the complexion of the game. Wales were the dominant side in the 2nd half and after Bale was brought down, the resultant penalty was blasted into the corner to level things up. Both sides went for it at the end but a winner was not to be found. A share of the points perhaps the right result considering how the halves went.

Wales going for the winner and the atmosphere inside the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium is electric to say the least. What a finish we have in store.

9 minutes of added time! That is a bit too high considering all things.

GOAL! Gareth Bale in the 82nd minute! USA 1 Wales 1. A fine penalty even though Matt Turner went the right way to his left, the power of the strike beat him. Arrowing into the top right corner. Bale who has hardly had anything positive in this game, levels it up.

PENALTY TO WALES! Walker Zimmerman with a clumsy tackle from behind on Bale and he brings him down. Stonewall penalty that.

Triple substitution for the USA as Haji Wright, Kellyn Acosta and DeAndre Yedlin replace Dest, Musah and Sargent.

Just over now! Kieffer Moore from the resulting corner just heads over as he uses his height. Wales knocking on the door now.

What a save! Matt Turner tips the ball over after Ben Davies flies in with a header. Could well be a pivotal moment yet in this game.

Suddenly every second ball is being won by a Wales player. Far greater intensity and intent in their game. It's USA who are doing the defending at the moment.

Wales have been much better in this half and that's due to Kieffer Moore - the big target man has been holding up the ball well and often coming deep to help with possession. Neco Williams down the left is buzzing and suddenly the Welsh supporters are in fine voice.

YELLOW CARD! To Tim Ream. Nice work from Bale as he lets the ball come across his body and then begins to get away from Ream who pulls him back. Clear yellow.

Kieffer Moore replaces Dan James for Wales up front.

A half that USA dominated and Christian Pulisic was involved in his team's attacking phases and provided the assist for Weah's goal. Pulisic looks direct, clinical and has been a constant menace with his runs. Wales have struggled with Bale and Ramsey totally anonymous. Maybe the half-time break will help them reassess and come out with a different strategy.

YELLOW CARD! To Chris Mepham. Pulisic gets away on the left and Mepham knows he is in trouble after that, pulls him down and gets booked.

GOAL! Timothy Weah in the 36th minute! USA 1 Wales 0. A deserved goal for USA and it's that man Pulisic who is at the heart of it. He slips in Timothy Weah who gets in on the inside of the last defender and then side-foots calmly home beating the goalkeeper.

Chris Mepham looks set to go into the book for shoulder-barging Pulisic but the referee lets him away with a warning.

Sergino Dest on the right has an overload to his right but aimlessly opts for a shot from nearly 40 yards and blasts it well over.

Still to find a breakthrough as both teams exchange possession. Not a clear-cut chance created so far.

20 minutes played and only 20 touches between Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale. That's why Wales are on the back foot.

Lots of comments coming in from the venue that rainbow bucket hats have been confiscated from the Wales supporters before being granted entry inside the stadium. This World Cup certainly is making a lot of news on the LGBTQ+ and other human rights issues.

Wales' talismanic skipper Gareth Bale has produced the goods on the grandest stage multiple times over the course of his glittering career, but will he make it count in what looks set to be his last FIFA World Cup?
