Lyra says she's always been mentally and physically stronger than Perez and that after Vengeance Day, Perez will always be behind her. Ava breaks things up before they come to blows. Lyra and Roxy sign the contract but face off in front of the table.

Lyra is remarkedly taller than Perez. They shake hands, and Lyra leaves the ring. As she does, Tatum Paxley comes out from under the table to put Roxanne through it. Paxley runs to hug Lyra, but she pushes her down to the ground before asking her 'what the heck she is doing.'

03:04 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Roxy adds that she had to pick herself up and jump through every hoop to get a rematch for the title she had never lost. Lyra says Roxy had a great run, but she has replaced her at the top of the division. She adds that the last person she needs to prove that this division is hers too is Perez. Roxy adds that Lyra will lose at Vengeance Day, but will she handle all that comes with losing, like the fans being fickle and having to rebuild herself?

03:01 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Ava introduces both women as they come. Roxanne says that she knows they both respect each other, and this is a Stand & Deliver caliber match. Perez says Lyra has had a great first year, but it's familiar because she was where Lyra was a year ago.

02:59 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Correction - Ava is the NXT GM, not the assistant NXT GM, as I mentioned earlier.

02:57 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Another vignette for the No Quarter Catch Crew airs with them praising the sport and not the 'entertainment' side of the sport they love. They again mention the 'No Quarter' clause, which lets them pick whichever member of the group will wrestle. 02:52 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Backstage, Jacy and Thea are moping around because Chase U shut down. Lexis King walks up to ask how he can improve things. He disgusts the girls.

Riley Osborne comes over to tell King to buzz off. King uses a Vanilla Ice line, meaning the ladies should 'drop the zero and get with a hero.' He walks off as Hail drools over Osborne. He says he wants to talk to her alone later. Jacy tries to tell her to slow down and have some restraint.

02:49 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Briggs battles back with a big boot and a chokeslam for a near fall. Trick rolls out of the ring, but Ilja implores Trick to get up while at commentary.

02:41 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

Ilja Dragunov has joined the commentary desk for the main event. Trick said he wanted to face Briggs alone, but you know Melo will come out at some point. Briggs drops Trick early on and gets a one-count.

02:22 (GMT)24 JAN 2024

In the back, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade are moping about not winning in the Dusty Classic last week. Brinley Reece runs in like a ball of positive energy. She says we only lose if we don't learn. She also says that next week, they will write down five things they liked about their match and five things they didn't.

Edris tries to say they don't want/need her help, but she convinces them differently with a loud chop to Enofe's chest. She cartwheels out of the ring before Blade says, 'We've tried everything else, so this couldn't hurt.'
