WWE RAW after SummerSlam Live Results (1st August, 2022): The Mysterios vs The Usos

Edge fires off on Damian Priest and Finn Balor. However, when Edge goes for the spear on Balor, Rhea Ripley pushes Dominik into Balor. Rey looks on as Edge runs off, confused as to why Edge would spear his son.

Jimmy and Dominik are on the top rope, and Dom sends Jimmy to the floor. Dominik sets up for the 619 only for Jey to save his brother again. The 1-D connects, and they finally put down their challengers. Two successful title defenses in three days.

The Usos defeat The Mysterios via pinfall.

After the match, The Usos abandon the ring, and Judgment Day invades. As they're beating down the duo, Edge makes the save.

Jimmy and Jey take turns battering the 25-year-old prodigy. Dominik eventually finds his opportunity to break away when he counters a top-rope Samoan drop into a tornado DDT. Rey tags in and spins around Jey for a tilt-a-whirl headscissor takedown. As Rey goes for a springboard crossbody, Jey connects with a superkick in mid-air.

Rey finds it in his heart to kick out. Jimmy tags in, but is sent into the ropes for the double 619 from the Mysterios. After Dom hits a frog splash, Jimmy is saved at the last possible moment when Jey breaks up the pin.

Rey finally manages to get to Dom after minutes of torture from The Champions. Dom drops Jey and Jimmy with a pair of neck breakers, getting a two-count on the latter. An inverted sling blade plants Jimmy, and he's able to notice his opponent moving before going for the 619.

Unfortunately, when he goes for a dive to the floor, The Usos catch him and drive him spine-first into the ring post.

Jey Uso manages to turn things around by separating Rey from his corner. With the legendary luchador stuck on the wrong side of the ring, The Bloodline take their time working on his legs to take away his high-flying power.

Rey Mysterio sends The Usos to the floor and tags in his son. Dominik hits a big dive off the top, giving the father and son duo an advantage in the opening of this contest.

It's time for the main event! It's The Mysterios challenging The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship!

Speaking of the champ, Bobby Lashley is interviewed backstage. He says last week he humbled Theory, and he has no problem doing the same to Ciampa. He'll do that whether Miz is there or not.

Ciampa takes AJ up top for an Air Raid Crash, but Styles rolls through for a Styles Clash! 1-2-no! Miz puts Ciampa's foot on the rope, saving his protege! Styles gets revenge on Miz, sending him over the barricade. Ciampa replies in kind, then rushes into the ring hoping for that count out.

Though Miz holds Styles behind the barricade, Styles escapes and gets into the ring. Unfortunately, he's met with another knee to the jaw. The Fairy Tale Ending plants Styles, putting him down in the middle of the ring.

Ciampa defeats AJ Styles via pinfall.

With that, Ciampa is the new #1 contender to Bobby Lashley's United States Championship! Next week, the Almighty faces the Psycho Killer!

Ciampa catches Styles going for the Phenomenal Forearm with a flash knee and hits Project Ciampa for a near fall. Somehow, Styles is able to kick out.

The Phenomenal One is on fire and hits an ushigoroshi followed by a wheelbarrow facebuster for a two-count. AJ Styles is a man possessed. Ciampa is able to avoid the Styles Clash, though, and rocks the multi-time WWE Champion with a striking combination and a fameasser. Lowering his knee pad, Ciampa moves in for the knee. Styles counters for a Styles Clash attempt.

Again, Ciampa escapes, but Styles suplexes him into the corner.

Ciampa is avoiding the offense of AJ Styles early on, with the Phenomenal One unable to connect on any of his patented strikes. The Miz is keeping Ciampa's head in the game, but Ciampa is unable to avoid a phenomenal dropkick to the jaw. On the floor, AJ follows with a slingshot forearm.

Houston, Texas's own Booker T has joined the commentary desk for this match. The WWE Hall of Famer was a multi-time US Champion in his own right and is a great legend to bring in to hype up the title.

Alexa, Asuka, Bayley, and Dakota rush the ring leading to the end of the match.

No Contest.

All six Superstars are going to war, leading to nearly a dozen WWE officials rushing to the ring to stop it. Dakota, Iyo, and Bayley are pulled to the floor, separating the six for now.

Iyo Sky catches Bianca with a double stomp to the gut and hits another running double knee strike in the corner. She goes for another one but is caught, and Bianca drives her into the mat with a spinebuster. Iyo counters the handspring moonsault this time around, though.

Bianca fails to hit the KOD, leading to both women fighting to the apron. Iyo avoids the German to the floor and goes for a running hurricanrana. Bianca catches her, slinging the Genius of the Sky into the barricade. Before she can toss her opponent into the ring, Bianca is stopped by Bayley and Dakota sitting on the apron.

Asuka and Alexa Bliss storm the ring, backing up Bianca and forcing Bayley and Dakota to back off.

Bayley and Dakota Kai come down to the ring to distract Bianca long enough for Iyo to hit a hurricanrana from the top rope.

Iyo counters a Glam Slam, sending Bianca into the ropes for a set of running double knees into the spine. Sky ducks a clothesline, countering into a sort of cross face. Bianca stands up out of the hold but is driven back to the mat with a Russian leg sweep. Sky goes up top for a diving press but is caught by Bianca. The champion rolls through and hits an incredible t-bone suplex. She follows with the Glam Slam and handspring moonsault for a two-count.

Iyo Sky looks to make an impressive official debut on the main roster when she takes on WWE RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair. It doesn't take long for Sky to gain control. After sending the EST of WWE to the floor, she hits a springboard moonsault as the Houston crowd boos.

Speaking of Edge, Rey Mysterio and Dominik are backstage. Rey says that he and Edge go way back, reminding everyone that they were once tag team champions. If anyone knows how sadistic the Rated-R Superstar can be, it's Rey, and he's positive that Edge is going to tear through Judgment Day.

Edge thanks Houston for welcoming him back, and admits to being a bit of a jerk over the past few months. He explains what his goal was for Judgment Day, wanting to give advice to the younger generation. He says that they were just getting started, but the power clouded the judgment of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest.

Edge says, to be fair, they pulled one over on him, and that's rare. But at SummerSlam, he pulled himself out of the Hell they put him in, and now he's going to kill what he created. The Rated-R Superstar vows to end Judgment Day.

Ziggler manages to catch Gable with the Zig Zag, but it's not enough for the win. Ciampa rolls up Ziggler, unable to get the win. Ziggler avoids the Fairy Tale Ending and rocks him with a superkick. Ziggler and Gable fight for the chance to pick up the pieces. Unfortunately for Gable, that gives Ciampa time to recover. A Fairy Tale ending plants him.

Ciampa defeats Chad Gable via pinfall.

Ciampa will face AJ Styles later on in the night for a shot at the WWE United States Championship.

Gable and Ciampa are dueling at the top of the turnbuckle. The former RAW Tag Champion fights off Ciampa, following up with a flying clothesline. Ziggler breaks up the pin, and the two highly decorated amateur wrestlers begin to tango. Gable eventually locks in an ankle lock, with Ziggler struggling to break free. Ciampa breaks the hold by hitting Gable with a Fameasser of his own for a two-count.

After some verbal back-and-forth, Gable stomps Ciampa into the mat. The second he turns around, he's met with a Fameasser from Ziggler. With all three men down on the mat, it's now anyone's game.

Chad Gable and Ciampa are taking turns battering the Showoff. This alliance, surely, won't last long.

It's time for the second triple threat of the night. Dolph Ziggler faces Chad Gable and Ciampa right now. The winner faces AJ Styles, and the winner of that gets a shot at Bobby Lashley and the WWE United States Championship.

Just as this match is heating up, they're attacked by Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai.

No Contest

Sky and Kai hold Bliss while Bayley hits a running knee on the Goddess. Their next target is the Empress, with Kai rocking her with a running boot. Sky gets up top for the moonsault, chair in hand, but is stopped by RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair. The champ says she wants a match tonight, and Iyo Sky has stepped up to the challenge.
