Didn't expect to see Jey Uso choked out or to see IYO SKY beaten by a rookie. A wild episode of Monday Night RAW!!

Jey Uso is stunned after Gunther kicks out of the Uso Splash...and is too distracted by that, leading to Gunther hammering him nearly unconscious before locking in an arm-trapped sleeper. And...that's it! Jey Uso is out!!

Gunther defeats Jey Uso via submission.

Eat your heart out, Rhea Ripley!! It's Gunther's pin, now!

Gunther is dominating Jey now with chops and uppercuts and clotheslines and...it's not looking good for the Yeeter of Worlds right now. The ref forces Gunther off of him, and when Gunther turns around, Jey hits a spear. But the ref is taken out as well! Uso goes up for the Uso Splash and connects, but the ref takes too long!

Gunther eats another superkick and takes a mudhole-stomping but catches Jey with a running dropkick in response! He follows with a powerbomb, nearly getting the victory with that. A Fujiwara Armbar is locked in, but Jey escapes. A boot and a chop to the back of the neck set up for a German suplex. Gunther hits his big splash for another nearfall.

Uso stuns Gunther with a step-up enziguri and follows with the superkick!! 1-2-no! Gunther refuses to give in so easily!

Say what you want about him, Jey turning this into a Samoan Drop is impressive

Jey follows with a flying crossbody off the top but can only manage a two-count.

Ever since Gunther took over, it's been a struggle to watch. Not that it's a bad match, but Gunther is TORTURING Jey by focusing on that right arm. The Ring General synches in a nasty stretch on the shoulder, nearly tearing it completely out of the socket.

The two fight to the top rope, but Jey's unable to hit a superplex due to the arm damage. Gunther locks in a kimura, and Jey ducks down to force a Samoan Drop from on high!! What a counter!!

The Ring General also controls the floor!

Gunther baits Jey into the corner and avoids a shoulder thrust, sending Jey's right shoulder into the turnbuckle. He drags Jey down to the floor and shoots him into the steel steps. That injured arm is going to suffer a lot of damage tonight, courtesy of The Ring General.

Jey Uso and Gunther are trading shots back and forth. For every Jey punch, a YEET follows. Jey catches Gunther on the floor with a suicide dive but is grabbing at his shoulder.

It's time for the main event!!

Backstage, Chad Gable is cracking up with The Creeds. Team Gable?!

Otis comes in and tells Gable that he apologized to Sami. Gable is confused but believes it's a ploy to trick Sami again in Saudi. He demands Otis "say it." Otis hangs his head. "No matter what."

Drew's not gonna...he's not gonna mess this up for Jey Uso is he?

No name for it yet, but what a finisher!

Backstage, Ludwig Kaiser is interviewed by Kayla Braxton regarding Gunther's match tonight. Kaiser turns it into a promo about Sheamus, vowing to end Sheamus' career, whatever's left of it.

Drew McIntyre walks into the frame after he leaves, telling Kayla that GM Adam Pearce didn't "have time" for him on RAW tonight. So that means he's gonna do what he wants. There's not much time left, so is he going to interfere in tonight's main event?

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are the new #1 contenders to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. With Belair going through the QOTR with an injury, we may see new champions soon!

Shayna chokes out SKY while Shayna and Zoey pick up the pieces of Maxxine Dupri! An alley-oop into a pump knee from Shayna!!

Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler defeat Maxxine Dupri & Ivy Nile via pinfall.

Damage CTRL superplex Shayna Baszler while Kayden and Katana launch Zoey Stark off the top onto her partner!! After the chaos, Maxxine Dupri and Kai are in the ring. Dupri locks in an ankle lock with the grapevine, only for Kairi to interrupt it with the Insane Elbow!

Back from the break, Ivy Nile launches Dakota Kai with a release German suplex. Kairi Sane tags in but is rocked with a series of strikes from Maxxine Dupri, who follows with an impressive suplex. The crowd is HOT for Maxxine.

Before the match can really get started with Katana and Shayna, IYO SKY runs in and knocks them both out with a clothesline. Ivy Nile picks her up for a stalling superplex, but she's rocked by a double superkick from the Party Girls Katana and Kayden. They follow with a Keg Stand on the floor but can't get the pin that early.

Damage CTRL, Maxxine Dupri & Ivy Nile, Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark, and Kayden Carter & Katana Chance are out next. It's a Fatal Four-Way tag match to see who will challenge WWE Tag Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

We see Xavier Woods getting examined backstage, with a doctor revealing that he's finally good to go! As Kofi Kingston goes off to speak to Adam Pearce, Woods is confronted by Karrion Kross and Scarlett. "There's always time left on the table." What's Kross got going on with Woods?

Can Damage CTRL rebound tonight and become the next #1 contenders?

The World Heavyweight Champion is tired of failure

Backstage, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest is furious with Judgment Day. He says he doesn't even recognize the group anymore and walks off while Finn Balor tries to stop him. The Prince understands and tells everyone to shape up while demanding JD speak to Pearce.

Becky has had enough and says we don't have to wait until Saturday. Liv marches to the ring but stops before entering. "I'm gonna do the smart thing and wait for our title match."

Becky states that she's broken barriers, but Liv claims she's just a selfish wrestler who has taken advantage of the rest of the roster. The fans can't see it because their heads are shoved too far up her...well...ya know.

Becky Lynch is out next, and The Man is here to discuss her upcoming title bout with Liv Morgan, calling out her opponent for blindsiding her and also acting like a coward when Damage CTRL attacked Becky before.
Liv interrupts, reminding Becky that she's not a coward. It just wasn't her fight. She's here to finish her revenge tour.

Bronson Reed confronts Sami Zayn backstage, telling him to stop worrying about Chad Gable and focus all his attention on the Colossus himself. As he walks off, Otis meets Zayn. The Intercontinental Champion is frustrated with Otis, but when the big man apologizes, he lets it go. He knows he's sorry about it because he's a good guy. He gives Otis important advice. Stop listening to Gable and listen to the audience.

Zayn says he's been in his shoes before, alluding to his time in The Bloodline.

Liv Morgan's kinda sorta revenge tour continues

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria is congratulated on her win by Becky Lynch. As she walks down the hall, she's met by Liv Morgan, who is looking for payback after Lyra allowed Becky to hit her with a "cheap shot" the week before. Liv pretends Becky's behind Lyra, and when Lyra turns back around, she's cold-cocked by Liv.

Braun lays out Carlito and chases JD into the arms of Truth! AA!!

Awesome Truth defeats The Judgment Day via pinfall.

Carlito runs in to interfere, leading to Braun Strowman running in!! Truth said earlier in the night that Andre the Giant promised to have their back. Maybe he meant Braun?!

After fighting for several minutes, Miz finally tags out to Truth as Balor comes in. Truth goes for his childhood hero's 5 Moves of Doom, but Balor stops the 5-Knuckle Shuffle.
Truth catches him in the STF only for McDonagh to break it up. Truth and Miz plant McDonagh and Balor, respectfully, with protoplexes and follow with the 10-Knuckle Shuffle!

Look at these idiots bragging after finally stopping...*checks notes*...the Miz

The Tag Title match starts with JD McDonagh being schooled by R-Truth. The veteran hits a leaping leg drop on a downed McDonagh and follows with a running splash in the corner. Miz tags in and hits his iconic It Kicks before following with his corner clothesline.

Miz fights off Balor and JD, but Dominik distracts him, allowing Balor to lay him out with a clothesline! The challengers are on top as we head into a break!

We see Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark meet...Sonya Deville!! The former Tag Team Champion tries to talk to them about "something" but Baszler declines for both her and Zoey.

I smell a betrayal coming.

As they leave for the match, Finn Balor hangs back to share a private conversation with Damian Priest. "I can't help wishing it was me and you out there." They bump fists as Balor leaves for their World Tag Title bout.

Some doubt in Balor's mind? Does he not want JD there, or is he not pleased with Priest sitting this match out?
