WWE SmackDown Live Results (19 May, 2023): More tension in The Bloodline, Former champions' debut

KO is out and distracts the referee. Zayn pushes Jimmy Uso off the apron., Rey now nails him with a 619 and Santos finishes it off and pins Jimmy Uso.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar def. The Usos

Rey boots Jimmy Uso and he goes down. Jey Uso with a Frog Splash but Rey kicks out! He kicks out! The Usos look flabbergasted. No one has kicked out of the Frog Splash in two years.

The Usos go for a double suplex but Rey fights out. The Usos go crashing out of the ring as Rey tags out. Santos Escobar wipes out The Usos with a dive over the ropes. Escobar follows it up with a running knee to Jimmy Uso.

The Usos have a point to prove and they are dominating here. Escobar needs to tag out and he does it. Mysterio is in. The Hall of Famer is all over The Usos single-handedly. He takes Jey down but only gets a two-count.

We're back from the break and Escobar is the legal man. The Usos cut off the tag and Jimmy tries to roll Escobar up. He fails. We cut to the back and see Roman, Solo and Paul Heyman watching on.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar vs. The Usos

Jey Uso and Rey Mysterio start things off. Jey quickly takes the upper hand and tags Jimmy in. Rey has Jimmy on the back foot and forces him to leave the ring as we cut to an ad break.

The Usos are approached by Paul Heyman backstage. Heyman says that Roman has forgiven The Usos. He adds that Roman won't be joining them at ringside, and Heyman is confident that The Usos can take out the LWO on their own.

Sheamus sends a message to the champ, taking him down with a Brogue Kick and walking away.

Theory gets more than he bargained for as Sheamus makes his way down to the ring.

Austin Theory is out next. The US Champion says that coming to SmackDown wasn't what he expected. He expected some respect, but instead, he was ganged up on by two former world champions. Theory claims Lashley is jealous of him and he doesn't understand his issues with Sheamus.

We have some big news regarding the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. Because of an injury to Liv Morgan, she and Raquel Rodriguez will be stripped of the titles. We now have a Fatal Four-way match on RAW in two weeks to determine the new champions.

Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre vs. Enhancement talent

Alba Fyre starts things off. She tags Isla Down in, and Dawn locks in a Tarantula while Fyre nails a superkick. Dawn's opponent tags out and gets booted out of the ring. Dawn and Fyre finish off the match with a Gory Bomb/Russian Leg Sweep combo. That was definitely very impressive.

Karrion Kross cuts a short backstage promo. It looks like Kross will be setting his sights on AJ Styles next.

Cameron Grimes is backstage for an interview. He reflects on his win last week over Baron Corbin and says he's ready to take it to the next level on the main roster.

LA Knight turns on his tag team partner after the match and hits Boogs with the BFT.

Montez Ford shows us why he's one of the best around. He takes to the air and wipes out both Boogs and LA Knight. He then heads to the top rope and nails Boogs with a Frog Splash for the win.

Boogs and Montez start things off. It's all Boogs early on. Boogs presses Ford early on and forces him to tag out after 10 reps.

Boogs now does some bicep curls with Angelo Dawkins before LA Knight tags in. Knight is all over Dawkins and hits a flying elbow for a nearfall.

LA Knight and Rick Boogs look set to be a new team on SmackDown. It looks like the former IMPACT star will now be a part of the tag team division.

Street Profits will be in action next against the new tag team of LA Knight and Rick Boogs.

AJ says he's ready for his title shot while Seth Rollins is on a movie set. AJ says he hopes Rollins is training and focusing on the match. Waller now predicts that The Visionary will win the match, and this abruptly ends the segment.

AJ Styles joins Grayson Waller in the ring. Waller asks AJ what meaning the world title at Night of Champions will mean to him. AJ says he recently returned from the longest injury break of his career, and that motivated him to train harder than ever.

Asuka refuses to break the hold after the bell. Bianca Belair charges down to the ring and Asuka rolls out. Asuka tries to blindside Bianca with the mist again and barely catches her this time.

Asuka is just too good for Zelina. She has the Asuka Lock locked in and forces Zelina to tap out.

We're back from the break. Zelina goes for the 619 again and hits it this time. She follows it up with a Meteora off the top rope for a nearfall.

Zelina Vega tries to roll up Asuka early and catches her by surprise. Zelina goes for a 619, but Asuka ducks as the action spills out to ringside. She sends Zelina's head bouncing off the announcer's desk as we cut to a commercial break.

Asuka is out now. She attacked Bianca Belair last week and left her in agony after blinding her with the mist.

Butch is on a one-man rampage here as he takes the fight to Pretty Deadly. He gets knocked off the top rope, and Ridge Holland tags in. Holland takes down both members of Pretty Deadly. Holland and Butch now hit the 10 beats as a tribute to Sheamus. With the referee distracted, Pretty Deadly now hit Ridge Holland with the Spilt Milk and steal the win.

We're back from the break and Elton Prince is the legal man. Ridge Holland lays into him with uppercuts. Holland takes him down and goes to tag out but Kit Wilson tags in and tries to stop the tag. Butch is in and he's all over Prince and Wilson.

Brawling Brutes vs. Pretty Deadly

Pretty Deadly makes their in-ring SmackDown debut against Brawling Brutes. Prince and Butch start things off. The Brutes dominate the opening stages of the match until Kit Wilson tags in. They double-team Ridge Holland as we cut to a commercial break.

We're back from the break and Roman Reigns is berating The Usos backstage. He says he had something to say to Sami Zayn, and The Usos ruined it. Roman now kicks The Usos out of his locker room.

The Usos get back into the ring, and Jimmy goes to high-five Roman. Roman is livid and says they aren't following the plan. He turns around to walk away but runs into Solo, who doesn't look happy. Roman then walks off. The Bloodline seems to be falling apart.

Sami now turns his attention to the title match at Night of Champions. He says Roman and Solo won't be winning the tag titles that night because they aren't as good as him and KO as a team. He adds further salt by saying they aren't even as good as The Usos. The Usos now attack Sami and KO from behind and take them out.

Roman Reigns says he's had a career of highs and lows, but he has only one regret, bringing Sami into The Bloodline. Sami replies that his regret is not blasting Roman with the steel chair sooner.

Roman says that the situation is perfect because he was going to call KO and Sami down to the ring. Roman says KO and Sami should just acknowledge him before leaving their titles in the ring and walking away.

Roman Reigns takes the mic and is about to cut a promo when Kevin Owens's music hits. KO and Sami Zayn come down to the ring to face off with their Night of Champions opponents.

We know The Usos are in the building because they'll be wrestling later tonight.

WWE SmackDown kicks off with Roman Reigns coming down to the ring flanked by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. Conspicuous with their absence are The Usos, who are nowhere to be seen.
