WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Live Results (April 5, 2024): Roman Reigns to speak, The Bloodline honored, sports icon to be inducted

Cody Rhodes takes the mic. He mentions 40 years of WrestleMania and discusses the pressure of WrestleMania. He then says on Sunday he's going to finally dethrone The Tribal Chief. This leads to loud "Cody" chants.

He then says where one big story ends, an even better one begins. The crowd erupts. This is shaping up to be huge. Cody, Seth, and Jey then celebrate with the crowd to close the show.

Jimmy Uso is down and Cody Rhodes pulls out his belt! He starts beating Jimmy with it! Jimmy tries to run, but Jey throws him back in the ring! Cody hits the CrossRhodes on Jimmy. Seth then nails Jimmy with the belt next!

From there, Jey Uso hits the Uso Splash on his brother!

Solo goes for the Samoan Spike but Jey counters into a superkick. He then hits the Uso Splash! This one is over, but no! Jimmy interrupts before Jey can win. This ends in a DQ.

Jey Uso defeats Solo Sikoa via disqualification

Jimmy and Solo beat down Jey but then Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins appear! They attack both members of The Bloodline! Cody hits the Cody Cutter on Solo! The crowd is erupting.

Back from break and Solo Sikoa is punishing Jey Uso. He repeatedly strikes Jey in the corner before going to the opposite side. He charges for a running corner attack, but Jey moves! Jey hits a few big strikes as the crowd yells "yeet" for each one. He goes for an irish whip but it gets countered. Jey manages to hit a kick to the gut and then sends Solo into the corner.

Jey chants "UCE" and then hits a running corner attack of his own for a two count. He then goes for a spear, but it gets countered into a Samoan drop.

Back from break and WWE runs down the card for WrestleMania 40. Then Solo Sikoa makes his way out to the ring without Jimmy Uso. Notably, Paul Heyman hasn't appeared on SmackDown either ahead of the Hall of Fame.

Solo Sikoa vs. Jey Uso

This one starts with Jey hitting several big strikes as the crowd chants "yeet". The brothers brawl and Solo can't keep ahold of Jey. Solo is set to the floor and Jey goes for a dive, but Sikoa catches him with a strike. From there, he gets slammed onto the ring apron! Ouch, that's risky ahead of WrestleMania.

Next up we get a promo from Bobby Lashley, B-Fab, and The Street Profits. B-Fab says it has been the same story. The Final Testament keeps attacking them. She says the attacks end this weekend. Bobby says Kross wanted it taken to the dark side but they're coming and they'll finish them.

Jey Uso's music then hits! He makes his way out to a huge pop. It is always a sight to see as the crowd does the wave with him.

Knight addresses AJ Styles. He says he thinks AJ is phenomenal. He says phenomenal at not showing up and phenomenal at running away. Knight then seemingly chokes on his gum but the crowd is still with him. He says AJ needs a crying towel. The crowd is chanting "yeah" after everything he says.

The Megastar says AJ should thank him because he makes Styles interesting. He then makes a football reference. He wraps it up by saying AJ will learn whose game it is.

Back from the commercial and Corey Graves promotes the UFL. We then hear LA Knight's music hits and the crowd explodes. He is still extremely over. That was a crazy reaction. WWE then seemingly botches the graphic promoting his match with AJ, instead showing The Pride vs. The Final Testament.

Next, a Bayley video package airs. It showcases her history in WWE and why she made Damage CTRL. It highlights the growth of Damage CTRL, including Kai and SKY winning tag team gold, IYO winning Money in the Bank, and then the WWE Women's Championship. From there, it pivots to Asuka and Kairi Sane joining and Bayley becoming an outcast. It then shows the subsequent breakup of Bayley and her faction. That was a great video package. It explained why Bayley left the group.

From there, we see Solo Sikoa preparing backstage with Jimmy Uso for his match with Jey tonight. We then go to break.

After the match, all five members of The Judgment Day show up! They attack New Catch Republic and lay them out in brutal fashion. They then do the same to Grayson Waller and Austin Theory! They stand tall to close the segment.

Tyler hits the Bop & Bang on Austin, but Waller knees Tyler out of the ring. He then punches Bate on the floor and rolls into the ring but eats a forearm from Dunne. New Catch Republic then hit the Birminghammer for the win!

That feels like a big upset.

Back from break and A-Town Down Under are in control. They are working over Tyler Bate and hit a double team move. They then knock Pete Dunne off of the apron. Grayson goes for a suplex but Tyler Bate counters it and hits a delayed suplex of his own. He then crawls over and tags in Pete!

Dunne runs in and hits kicks on both members of A-Town Down Under repeatedly. He then hits a German Suplex on both men. The Bruiserweight then stomps on Grayson's fingers and hits a double stomp. He then attempts to break Grayson's fingers but Austin rolls in with a dropkick.

Waller climbs to the ropes while Tyler Bate is on the apron. Grayson then hits a cool tornado DDT from the ropes onto the apron! Wow, that was impressive.

A-Town Down Under, then celebrate together as we go on a commercial break. The Street Profits and OTM Snickers ad then airs. That's always a fun one.

New Catch Republic vs. A-Town Down Under

Pete Dunne and Austin Theory start things off. Dunne outsmarts and outwrestles Theory. Eventually, Tyler and Waller tag in, and Bate outwrestles Grayson too, even hitting the airplane spin, but it is interrupted by Theory. Pete tries to stop Austin but gets hit. Tyler then dives onto Theory but gets kicked by Waller in the process.

As we return from the commercial break, Corey Graves promotes Clash at the Castle. We then see Rey Mysterio, Andrade, and Zelina Vega backstage. A referee shows up and reveals that Dragon Lee is not medically cleared for WrestleMania. Man, that's disappointing. Andrade then says he will go with Rey, and Mysterio shakes his hand.

Carlito then shows up and tells Rey about Lee before the news is revealed that Andrade is Mysterio's partner. Carlito looks disappointed but then fires them up. Is a heel turn being further foreshadowed for Carlito?

Jade calls herself, Naomi, and Bianca Belair the "big 3". Rap fans will know what that means. They then warn the group that they're in the eye of the storm.

From there, we get a promo with Jey Uso backstage. He promises a beatdown on his brother Solo tonight and on Jimmy tomorrow. Next up, New Catch Republic's music hits and they make their way out. Pete and Tyler will be fighting A-Town Down Under. This will come after the break.

Random note, but all three women have a cowboy hat. Once Jade gets to the ring, she gets a big applause from the audience. The star power between the three is crazy. Corey Graves then mentions the same thing: the star power.

Once the music ends, the crowd cheers. Jade thanks both women. She then gets Damage CTRL a special shoutout and says they stepped up and got stepped on. She said they gave her the grandest opportunity to show the WWE Universe what she's all about.

Bianca says Damage CTRL is too cocky so they didn't expect someone else to come through. She says that comes in the newEST SmackDown star and their WrestleMania partner: Jade Cargill. Then Jade's music hits and her epic entrance begins!

Jade looks like a million bucks as she makes her way to the ring.

Naomi waits on the ramp for Bianca Belair, who is out next. She gets a big pop from the crowd just like Naomi did. Both women are stars. The pair then walk down to the ring. This leads to a video package highlighting what went down last week, including Jade Cargill's appearance.

Back to live action and Bianca and Naomi are in the ring with microphones in hand. Bianca says she has the longest history with Damage CTRL. She mentions fighting for her life for nearly two years. The two then go back and forth joking about how Damage CTRL has taken it to them, but they needed each other to take on Damage CTRL.

Naomi says The GlowEST still wasn't enough because they were outnumbered.

After the break, 19,833 is the announced attendance for what is billed at the 14th consecutive television sellout. Wow. That's huge.

Then Naomi's music hits! She comes out with her new theme which is great.

Post-match, Santos, Dominik, and Andrade celebrate with Elektra. They then attack Rey and encourage Andrade to join them. When he doesn't, they push him, and Andrade snaps! He clotheslines both men and sends them packing!

Dominik and Santos are furious. Andrade then hugs Rey and shakes his hand before hugging Zelina. They're reunited! Wow, what a fun angle.

We then see Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi walking backstage. They're up next!

Zelina Vega goes for a crossbody from the ropes, and Elektra catches her. She does a spin-out slam and gets a nearfall. Elektra then slams Zelina's head agains the mat. Lopez climbs the ropes but Zelina hits a 619 to Elektra's legs. Zelina then hits a hammerlock DDT, staring at Andrade as she did so. They have a lot of history.

Vega goes for the pin but Dominik distracts the referee. Zelina slaps him and Rey pulls him down, but Elektra hits a two-handed chokebomb and gets the pin.

Elektra Lopez vs. Zelina Vega

This one started during the break. Both women are trading strikes back and forth before Zelina hits a kick and a running clothesline. She hits another running clothesline, a kick in the corner, and a running knee. Zelina then hits the Meteora in the corner for a two-count. Their chemistry together sadly isn't great yet, but they may need more time.

While Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez make their way to the ring, Dominik Mysterio comes out. Shockingly, so does Andrade! This is really interesting...

Is Andrade officially aligned with Dominik? We go to break from there.

Backstage Dragon Lee is shown hurt backstage. Carlito is standing over him as Rey Mysterio, Zelina Vega, and Nick Aldis rush over. Carlito says he doesn't know what happened, but the LWO music is playing, and Rey and Zelina have to go for Zelina's match. What happened? Was it Carlito?

From there, Zelina Vega and Rey Mysterio make their way out, but Rey looks very concerned. From there, Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez come out to the ring.

Then, out of nowhere, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton pop up from under the ring at SmackDown!! The trap has been thwarted again! Logan tries to run away, but Kevin Owens stops him. They then begin to beat Paul up. This includes Logan being hit with a Stunner! The crowd starts chanting "RKO." He then hits it! Owens and Orton stand tall over The Maverick.

Logan says good evening to people from South Jersey. He then says he found out he's in Philly, equally trash. That gets a lot of heat. Logan says all he sees are idiots in the crowd. Paul then get in the ring. He says they're idiots for cheering Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. He calls both men dumb and takes a fat joke jab at Kevin Owens.

The Maverick calls himself a mastermind and says he's playing four dimensional chess. He has a camera man on site at the big arena hosting Mania and says there is a trap waiting for Orton and Owens. We then see Austin Theory and Grayson Waller and they're perplexed because neither of the former world champions are there.

Back from break and we get a promo from The Final Testament. He mocks Lashley for not making WrestleMania last year. He says Bobby and The Street Profits are on WrestleMania thanks to him and his group. This was a really fun promo. Quick and intense.

From there, Logan Paul's music hits! He grabs a mic on the ramp.

We get a clip of Bloodline members arriving earlier today. We then see Logan Paul is back walking down the hallway! Owens and Orton are across the street. He is staying one step ahead of them both.

From there, we go to break.

Ivar attempts the Doomsault but misses. Bronson Reed then does the Rolling Thunder. Big Bronson then tosses Ivar out and wins! Wow! That was unexpected.

That was a lot of fun. Bronson poses as the victory before we go to a recap from Monday.

Otis hits a big Caterpillar on Otis and tosses him out. Tozawa tries to fight back but gets kicked and tossed to the floor. This leaves just Ivar and Bronson Reed in the match—more "Meat" chants. The two have an excellent exchange, they are so athletic and talented for their size.

The crowd chants "meat" as Otis, Bronson Reed, and Ivar fight! It looks like JD McDonagh is still in the match as he eliminates Ricochet by cheating! He then gets tossed out by Akira Tozawa to a huge pop and tears his shirt. Wow, what an elimination!

While tearing his shirt, Tozawa is sandwiched by Bronson and Ivar. Otis then fights both men off to a huge pop.

Back from the break and the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal continues. Omos is on the floor attacking The Creed Brothers. In a shocking moment, he eliminated The Creeds but eliminates himself in the process! Wow! Ashante Thee Adonis is out next.

Bronson Reed tosses Joaquin Wilde out and Ivar knocks out Cedric Alexander. It looks like the final stars left are Bronson Reed, Ricochet, Bronson Reed, Akira Tozawa, and Otis.

Once the bell sounds, Pretty Deadly goes right at Omos. Omos tosses Kit Wilson, and Elton Prince eliminates himself in fear. Things then get chaotic. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde toss Angel and Berto out. Angel and Berto then attack the LWO. Cameron Grimes is also tossed out.

Apollo Crews and Jinder Mahal are quickly tossed out. The Creed Brothers then knock out Indus Sher! Ivar nails JD McDonagh with a kick, and Bronson splashes JD afterward. Omos then picks the Judgment Day member up and slams him down.

Unless I'm mistaken, Andrade is NOT in this match.

After the video package, Bronson Reed makes his way out to a ring filled with stars. Ricochet is next. Commentary mentions both advancing on WWE Speed. The Good Brothers, Pretty Deadly, Indus Sheer, Alpha Academy, Ivar, JD McDonagh, the LWO, Legado del Fantasma, Cameron Grimes, and others are shown in the ring. Then Omos comes out with MVP by his side. This is his return after quite a while.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

This one will be tough to track, but it should be fun.

Back from break and Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are in the parking lot. They try to get into one of their cars but can't. They then get onto a golf cart and drive to the building. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are shown running chasing after them. Hilarious. Did Orton and Owens steal that golf cart?!

We then get a video package honoring Andre the Giant and hyping up the battle royal!

Once Kevin and Randy leave, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller emerge from under the ring. It is clear they tried to set a trap for Logan, but they missed their moment, which the commentary team emphasizes. The goofy, cocky stars then try to chase after Orton and Owens as we go to break!

Logan says he is building empires and calls the fans idiots. He is still in Lincoln Financial Field. Kevin Owens says Logan is talking a lot of trash from somebody across the street. Orton says he's right and says, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" and both men leave the ring! Are they going to run to the stadium?!

Kevin and Randy sit down and share some friendly conversation. Owens then brings up Sunday and calls the Triple Threat Match with these two and Logan a big match. Owens shows off his shirt mocking Logan. He then says they share a common hatred for Logan Paul. A loud "Logan sucks" chants starts before Kevin again shows off his shirt. He then asks Orton on a scale from one-to-ten how annoying, dislikable, and repulsive is Logan Paul.

Orton says an 11, then we get interrupted by Logan Paul! He is at the big stadium for WrestleMania, the set looks amazing.

Kevin welcomes us to the show and says tonight isn't just special because it is WrestleMania weekend but because his guest is a legend, and it means a lot to him to share a ring with this man. He then introduces Randy Orton.

Orton is unsurprisingly over with the audience. Wade Barrett questions Kevin Owens for being so friendly with The Viper. Corey says the common bond between the two is Logan Paul.

The big change to the SmackDown set is pretty cool, I like them being forced to shift things thanks to the big houses. Corey Graves reveals 19,000+ fans are in attendance tonight. Also - the Spanish commentary team is in the house so you know it is a big show.

In the ring, Kevin Owens has a microphone in hand as the crowd cheers him and start to chant "K-O".
