Best amazing farms to build in Minecraft 1.21

While there are several amazing farm options in the latest Tricky Trials update, some are bound to be better than others. That said, here are the best farms to build in Minecraft 1.21:

1) Iron farm

Iron is one of the most important resources in Minecraft, needed to make a huge number of advanced redstone components, shields, armor, tools, and more. This means that iron farms are always useful to make.

Iron farms take advantage of villagers panicking to spawn iron golems. These iron golems will then drop into kill chambers. This is where they will drop iron ingots.

Crafters will make these farms much more efficient, with the ability to process individual ingots into other materials, such as Minecraft hoppers, minecarts, or doors.

2) Witch farm

Witch farms are always worth building. They give players near unlimited access to a plethora of amazing utility items, such as redstone, glowstone, sugar, glass bottles, and spider eyes.

This means that witch farms can power many other farms, thanks to the restone output. They can even be used to make some of Minecraft's potions, thanks to the bottles, sugar, and eyes.

3) Piglin bartering farm

Piglin bartering farms are another amazing survival farm. They take gold ingots, normally not very useful, as inputs and can output several useful types of materials. This includes potions of fire resistance, one of the best Minecraft potions for exploring the nether, as well as iron nuggets, ender pearls, nether quartz, string, leather, and more.

The sheer quantity of useful items available is what makes piglin bartering farms so useful to construct, especially with Tricky Trials' revolutionary crafter block.

4) Zombified piglin farm

Zombified piglin farms are amazing survival farms to build in 1.21. They act as better XP farms than almost anything else available.

Additionally, zombified piglin farms are able to provide players with a nearly unlimited supply of gold nuggets. These nuggets can then be converted back into ingots and used to fuel the previously mentioned bartering farms.

5) Automatic tree farm

Automatic tree farms use Minecraft TNT duplication to automatically break trees that are pushed into position by pistons. 1.21 is making tree farms much better, thanks to the crafter block.

This block can take the log output from a tree farm and convert it into any other number of useful wooden items. The output could also be connected to another farm for even more crafting options.

6) Cobblestone generator

Cobbestone generators function similarly to automatic tree farms. They use TNT duplication to destroy constantly-generating cobblestone that then drops into a collection area.

Tricky Trials is making cobblestone generators much better, as the cobblestone output can be automatically combined and crafted into different items.

7) Generic mob farm

Minecraft's classic mob farm is still one of the best to build in the game. This is due to how cheap it is in terms of resources while also providing great value for the low price.

This structure can act as a great early-game XP farm and gives players unlimited bone meal from bones, arrows, rotten flesh, and string. It can also give low amounts of iron, carrots, and potatoes from zombies.

8) Sugar cane farm

Sugar cane farms are staple Minecraft survival base farms, and for good reason. Early on, they can be handy for getting the paper needed to set up an enchanting area, as well as sugar for crafting potions and food items.

Later on, however, these farms can be used to get an unlimited number of firework rockets for elytra flight, making them a great farm for all points of the game.

9) Kelp farm

Kelp might seem like a strange resource to farm for in large numbers, but there are two distinct advantages to it.

The first is that dried kelp can be left in a furnace as a way to store XP, making kelp farms functional vanilla XP banks. The second is that dried kelp blocks can smelt more than nine kelp, meaning infinite furnace fuel. Extra kelp could also be composted into useful bone meal.

10) Slime farm

Slime farms are an amazing farm to make and have recently gotten much easier to construct. Recent changes to Minecraft hostile mob spawning behavior have allowed for slimes to spawn in huge numbers in dimly lit swamp biomes. This makes efficient surface slime farms easy to make, granting unlimited access to sticky pistons and slime blocks, both used in advanced redstone builds.
