Mojang recently released a new Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.60.25 beta and preview version, introducing several new features for the game's upcoming game drop. Apart from the new features, they also fixed many issues with existing features and brought changes to them, especially to the recently added Creaking mob and Pale Garden biome.

Here is a list of some of the best changes implemented in Minecraft 1.21.60.25 beta and preview.

List of four best changes implemented in Minecraft 1.21.60.25 beta and preview

1) Pale Garden generates more commonly and is bigger

After Mojang released The Garden Awakens drop in December 2024, many players quickly noticed how rare the Pale Garden was to find. Even if they found the biome, the region was too small, only consisting of a handful of trees that hardly had the new creaking heart block. Many of them started complaining about its rarity on social media platforms.

With Minecraft 1.21.60.25 beta and preview version, Mojang has tried to fix the issue by making Pale Gardens a lot more common and bigger than before. This will enable players to find these new biomes much more easily.

2) Woodland Mansion will generate in Pale Garden

When the Pale Garden biome was released to Minecraft, many players instantly drew parallels with the Dark Oak Forest biome. They felt both had almost identical tree density and terrain, to the point where it was considered a variant of the Dark Oak Forest.

Interestingly, the community also noticed that Illagers were the only mob group that was scared of the Creaking, connecting their lore. Many discussed that Pale Garden could massively benefit if Mojang plans to add a structure to the biome.

With Minecraft 1.21.60.25 beta and preview version, the developer finally decided to generate Woodland Mansions in Pale Garden biomes as well. The home of Illagers will now generate in the new biome, in which they will be scared of the Creaking at night.

3) Creaking can be prevented from despawning

When the Creaking mob was first introduced, it only spawned at night and disappeared when the moon set. If players wanted to keep the new wood-like creature alive during the day, there was no way of doing so.

This was recently changed by Mojang in the Minecraft 1.21.60.25 beta version. They made it possible to use a name tag on the Creaking to prevent it from despawning during the time. This means that the new creature will remain in the world as long as it has a name tag, and its creaking heart block is not destroyed.

Players can keep the Creaking mob for showcase, or for setting up humorous pranks in a multiplayer server. However, it is worth mentioning that players will not be able to extract resin from the Creaking that has been nametagged.

4) Creaking emits vibrations when hit

Creaking is a unique mob that has lots of new mob animations and sounds. When it was first released, players were thrilled to watch the creature move and chase them down when they were not looking at it. When the Creaking is hit, it sways a bit but does not take any damage because its heart is outside as a block. The swaying motion that it does makes some noise as well.

Most recently, Mojang decided to make the Creaking emit sound vibrations when hit and when it performs the swaying motion. This means that this motion will now be detected as a sound by sound-detecting blocks like sculk sensors and calibrated sculk sensors.

Hence, players can make certain contraptions to use the Creaking mob in a contraption where it activates when a player hits the mob.
