In Minecraft, players can craft most blocks and items. Even if some are uncraftable, like natural stone and wood, they are readily available in nature. However, there are certain rare loot items that players cannot craft as well. But their rarity does not add up since players should be able to craft most of them, particularly because they are capable of crafting much more complex resources.

Here is a list of rare loot items that players should be able to craft in Minecraft.

1) Saddle

A saddle is a rare item that only has a small chance of generating as chest loot in dangerous structures like Desert Pyramids, Monster Rooms, Nether Fortresses, etc. It is essential to have if players want to control any ridable mob they tamed. The item can be used to ride mobs like pigs, striders, camels, donkeys, horses, and mules.

However, since players usually find horses and pigs early in the game, it can be frustrating to have the ridable mob but not a saddle to control it, especially if they fail to find the item after exploring the world. Furthermore, a saddle is a relatively simple item that players should be able to craft. Some leather and iron ingots can be used to craft saddles in Minecraft.

2) Name Tag

A name tag is another rare item that is solely used to name a mob in Minecraft. Despite its simple use, it is a rare chest loot that has a small chance of generating in structures like Mineshafts, Woodland Mansions, Monster Rooms, etc. A name tag can also be found by fishing and trading with a master-level librarian villager.

Name tags must be used on an anvil, where players can write any name they want to give to a mob. After the name tag has a name, it can be taken out of the anvil and used on any mob.

Because of its simple use and composition, it should also be a craftable item in Minecraft.

3) Bottle O' Enchanting

Bottle O' Enchanting is a unique item found as chest loot in Ancient City, Pillager Outpost, Shipwrecks, and Buried Treasure (Bedrock Edition only). Apart from that, it can also be obtained from a master-level cleric villager. This item is a glass bottle that has XP orbs in it. Players can throw them anywhere to break them on the ground and spread XP orbs. One bottle can drop anywhere from 3 to 11 XP points.

However, XP is not extremely rare to farm. Players can do simple tasks and receive XP. Furthermore, they can also create glass bottles using glass blocks. Hence, there should be a way for players to make Bottle O' Enchanting simply by using glass bottles to pick up XP points. It can then be used later when players need them.

Lots of Bottle O' Enchanting can be created using various Minecraft XP farms as well.

4) Trident

Trident is an extremely rare weapon that is rarely dropped by a drowned zombie that randomly spawns with one. Additionally, it has a tiny chance of generating a reward in trial vaults in Trial Chambers.

Trident is one of the best weapons that can be used for both melee and ranged attacks. It also has some exclusive enchantments that allow players to travel with it and even cause lightning strikes wherever the weapon is thrown.

However, since all other weapons in Minecraft can be crafted by players, tridents should not be an exception, especially because it is not an overly special or overpowered weapon.

Mojang can make it difficult for players to craft a trident, but it should most definitely be craftable.
