5 best changes in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview
1) Pale Moss gets an upgrade
One of the biggest highlights of the Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview is the changes introduced to the Pale Moss items. Pale Moss is the unique and colorless moss that dots the eerie new biome of Pale Garden and adds to much of its appeal.
As part of the update, Pale moss patches are now larger when naturally generated. Additionally, it now has a chance to grow naturally without needing a Pale Oak tree to be nearby. This increases the spawn chance of this beloved block. This update also reduced the amount of Tall grass on the Moss, making it seem even more eerie.

2) Pale Garden is spookier
Pale Garden is the new biome in Minecraft that has been making all the waves due to its inherent spookiness and eerie setting. This new update made further modifications to the biome's settings, adding to the sense of unease.
The Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview removed all flowers and Mushrooms from the biome, making it a barren wasteland. Additionally, the density of Pale Oak has been increased, further reducing visibility and making it even more difficult for players to evade the notorious creaking mob native to the biome.
3) Creaking heart receives some functional changes
The creaking heart receives numerous functional changes with the Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview update. A creaking heart with a spawned creaking and partial Pale Oak support will now deactivate if the creaking is despawned via in-game commands.
Additionally, the creaking heart can no longer be used as a fuel source, limiting its functionality as the catalyst for destroying the creaking. The creaking heart block is also immovable as part of the update. Perhaps the biggest change is that a creaking heart spawning and despawning its creaking now emits vibrations from the mob's position, making it easier to locate one.

4) Many blocks receive functional changes
The Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview also introduced a plethora of changes to the behavior and interaction with certain blocks and tools in-game. The Blast Furnace, Dropper, Cauldron, Dispenser, Enchanting Table, Furnace, Hopper, and Smoker blocks now drop only when broken with a pickaxe.
Additionally, the following blocks that require support will now always break when broken with any tool:
- Copper Doors
- Iron Door
- Heavy Weighted Pressure Plate
- Light Weighted Pressure Plate
- Polished Blackstone Pressure Plate
- Stone Pressure Plate
These functional changes to the blocks introduce major gameplay modifications which make them more accessible and marginally more efficient.
5) Realms get a fresh coat of paint
As part of the latest Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview, Minecraft Realms gets a host of updates and feature changes. This comes days after major blackouts and server issues have plagued the popular Minecraft server and annoyed players globally.
The Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.24 beta and preview introduces a loading modal when changing active realms slots to prevent and fix an existing glitch where multiple Realms Slot Settings Screen are pushed to the stack. This usually happened due to the players' button mashing the edit world button, causing the glitch to disrupt the settings modifications.
The update also fixed a major issue where the game mode and difficulty of a world were not being saved after uploading or replacing it in the relevant Realms slot. These changes will bring some much-needed optimization to Realms.
