Minecraft is a fantastic game with limitless possibilities. Players can do anything in the game and with the upcoming Minecraft 1.21 update, things are going to get even better. But even with a fantastic host of updates and many things added, the cup of expectations can never be filled. The game still lacks quite a few basic features that would make it even better.
We have compiled a list of five features that fans of the game would love to see added if Mojang made Minecraft 2.

Features in Minecraft 2
Fans of the game must have noted that it is very unlikely that Mojang would release a part 2 for the game. Rather, the update progression would reach 2.0, since the game is currently at 1.21. So hypothetically, the 2.0 update should completely reinvent the game and make it different from what we have today.
Here are the five things fans would love to see added to the game to make it more layered, challenging, and fun.
1) A challenging progression
One of the biggest advantages of the game is also its biggest drawback—the game has no progression. A player starts the world and their only task is to make a base, get some basic resources, and start mining and eating. With hours of tedium, they can get diamond gear and weapons. There’s a lack of progression in the game that makes things interesting or meaningful.
Perhaps Mojang could add some tasks that players must do to get ahead in the game instead of just being inside a cave, mining for hours to get resources. This would certainly make the process challenging and fun rather than tedious.
2) Diverse weapons
Mojang recently added the mace to the game, a new weapon after years of waiting. It has an interesting mechanic: the higher the player attacks from with the mace, the stronger the attack.
So perhaps for Minecraft 2, the developers can add a host of new weapons, both ranged and melee. Even with the mace, there are just three melee weapons. Maybe they can add spears as well.
3) Challenging mini-bosses
While there are some challenging bosses in Minecraft, there’s a lack of mini-bosses. Although the trial chambers added the breeze, there need to be more easily accessible mini-bosses. Beating the hostile mobs is either too easy or too difficult. Adding some mini-bosses would be a great way of making the game more fleshed out and fun to explore.
4) Better exploration
Minecraft’s game area is enormous and almost endless. But that’s not good because almost every area is repetitive, dead, and boring. All players can find a few different biomes and a lot of water. The exploration aspect of the game is quite weak.
Minecraft 2 can change this by adding new mobs and areas that are just not cosmetically different but require different tools and skills to traverse and survive. Recently, the game added eight new wolf types spawning in their specific biome, which is a step in the right direction.
5) A farming/food overhaul
Just like exploration, the game's farming and food aspect is quite underwhelming. Only a few crops can be grown, and most crops have no other use. The game needs many new crops that require specific conditions to be grown. This will make farming more challenging and much more interesting. The Farming add-on by podcrash is a great reference to learn from.
