List of 5 interesting details about the Minecraft movie that may have gone unnoticed

1) Villager-like creatures featured from a distance

The opening shot of the trailer showcases the main area where the film will take place. The shot shows a massive canyon-like terrain with a unique village. In this particular scene, we can see a few creatures moving around at the center, where the paths are built. This could be an indication that it will have villagers.

Even though the entire trailer does not show any villagers, these creatures moving around in the background of some shots clearly indicate that the popular passive mobs will also feature in the film.

2) Real-life batteries placed near the crafting table in the trailer

The Minecraft movie trailer clearly showcased that it will feature real-life actors as characters entering a completely animated Minecraft world.

When looking at the trailer closely, there's a shot where Jason Momoa's character tries to create an item on the crafting table. In the close-up scene, we can notice that a real-life battery is placed on the crafting table's side. The battery company is Rayovac, which is clearly a real company that exists.

This could mean that there can be other real-life items and features in the film apart from the characters.

3) New Nether mob with purple eyes

In the middle of the trailer, there was a shot where Jack Black's character, Steve, enters a Bastion Remnant-like structure in the Nether that contains loads of piglins.

While there were various kinds of piglins with orangish eye color, there was also a mysterious silhouetted creature in the middle that had purple eyes. Though the game already has Endermen who also have purple eyes, this particular mob looked quite different in appearance. Since it was far away from the shot, it is still unknown what it really looks like.

4) Steve's Lava Chicken sign

Another shot in the Minecraft movie trailer where the piglins raid a village-like settlement in the Overworld has a lot to unpack. First, there is a hanging sign in the background that says "Steve's Lava Chicken!," which could be a farm that Jack Black's iconic in-game character, Steve, made inside the animated word.

Since farms are quite common and popular in the game, this could be one that Steve made that gives other characters cooked chicken. It could work by means of a contraption that automatically burns the chickens with lava.

5) The Exploding Pig sign

In the aforementioned shot of the piglins raiding a village-like settlement, there is another hanging sign visible right behind the piglin leader. This sign in the trailer said "The Exploding Pig," which could be confusing at first, but can be a homage to the origin of the creepers.

The creepers are the most iconic mobs in the game, but they were invented out of an accident. When Notch, the creator, was trying a new model for pigs, he created one that stood on two legs and did not have any arms. Since it amused Notch, he decided to keep the "creepy" model and created a unique mob out of it, one that would explode near players.
