Minecraft Live wrapped up a few days ago, and it was a fantastic event, to say the least. Fans were delighted with the news of a lot of upcoming features. The developers also took steps to keep the game fresh and exciting. This article will list down the five most important takeaways from the MC Live event this year, pointing out what makes the event so unique this time round.

1) Smaller but frequent updates

One of the more interesting things about this year’s Minecraft Live event was how the developers are focusing on delivering smaller updates but frequently. This is great for players as they get to try out more features that make the game more interesting. At the same time, the developers can also figure out whether the updates are received well or not.
One of the complaints that fans have had for years is that the updates take too long and deliver too little. After waiting for an entire year, fans get one or two new items. Perhaps the update restructuring is a response to fix that.
2) Minecraft Live twice a year
Mojang Studios also announced that the MC Live event will be held twice a year instead of once. This aligns with their new update structures as the developers will need another event to announce the frequent update drops. Minecraft Live is an exciting event anticipated by millions of players.
3) The upcoming features
The developers announced the latest update for Minecraft called the “Bundles of Bravery” update. Just like the previous major release called the “Tricky Trials” that added the trial chambers, this update adds bundles and Hardcore mode to the game.
Bundles were announced back in 2020. It took Mojang Studios four years to add this item. Bundles are a great item that does everything the shulker box does.
That said, unlike the shulker box, bundles can be easily crafted using leather and string at the start of the game. Since these items can be dyed, bundles open up a new avenue of sorting and managing inventory in the game.
If the wait for bundles was long, the addition of Hardcore mode to the Bedrock Edition took an eternity. Finally, it will be coming to the game with the Bundles of Bravery update.
4) Experimental features
Despite the contents of the Bundles of Bravery update being great, the experimental features stole the show. The game will soon be getting a new biome called the Pale Garden, a new hostile mob called the Creaking, and a new wood type called the pale oak wood.
The Creaking is an interesting mob as it only spawns at night. Players will have to keep looking at this mob to prevent it from attacking them. Also, this hostile mob does not take any damage, no matter what weapons are being used. To kill it, players have to find another item called the “Creaking Heart.”
The Creaking Heart is an item found inside the Pale Garden. It is the source of the Creaking, and players need to either destroy it or break it using a tool with the Silk Touch enchantment.
5) Minecraft movie insights
Fans also got to see a lot more about the upcoming Minecraft movie. The first teaser trailer had failed to impress most of the players. A lot of them complained about the live-action nature of the movie. The event gave everyone a deeper look into the movie by showing some interesting scenes, and the director explaining his creative choices.
The movie is set to release on April 4, 2025, and features a cast including Jack Black as Steve and Jason Momoa as Garret.
