Many mobs populate the blocky world of Minecraft and make it both useful and challenging. There are passive mobs that are useful, and then there are hostile mobs that don't leave a single opportunity to kill a player. But as is the case with the game's environment, not every hostile mob is equal. Some are more dangerous and rewarding, while others can be avoided.

When encountering some hostile mobs, it is better to avoid them and just keep moving ahead. The reasons range from underwhelming rewards to just unnecessary risks. So we list down the five mobs in Minecraft that aren't worth fighting and why they don't deserve the effort.

1) Warden

Anyone who has fought and defeated the warden can assure you that this awfully challenging mob is not worth the effort. The warden is the most powerful mob in the game in terms of health points. It has potent attacks like a sonic boom with long-range effects. Yet, after defeating this giant, it drops a single sculk catalyst, which is certainly not worthwhile.

So the best course of action would be to loot the ancient city and get everything precious there by avoiding the warden. But those who want a good challenge can still try and fight the warden. Just keep in mind that it will be only for the fun and not for the reward.

2) Piglin brute

Piglin brutes are an interesting mob as despite being piglins, they are unaffected by gold, and no matter what the player does, they will always charge at them. They're also quite strong with their golden axe and a burning desire to kill.

So, the best course of action is to avoid the brute and aim for the loot in the bastion remnant. It saves time and effort, and not to mention how dangerous it is to die in the nether.

3) Vexes

Vexes are those annoying little flying creatures that are summoned by the Evoker. They are usually found in woodland mansions. They aren't worth fighting because Minecraft players can just locate and kill the Evoker and take care of these vexes. Also, killing vexes takes a lot of effort owing to their size and flying ability. Plus, they keep coming until the Evoker is down. So, it is better to focus on the root of the problem.

4) Drowned

Almost every player felt scared when they suddenly noticed an underwater zombie started attacking them while they were barely managing to conserve their breath. Drowned mobs are some of the most annoying hostile Minecraft mobs that are neither challenging to kill nor give any special item when they die. Plus, fighting them underwater is quite annoying and tiring.

The only time when drowned mobs are worth fighting is when they are carrying the trident. Since there is no way of crafting this weapon, one can only acquire the weapon by killing drowned mobs that possess it.

5) Guardian

Finally, the last hostile mob in this list but certainly one of the most challenging and annoying mobs to fight in Minecraft. Guardians are found in the ocean temples and their attack includes giving the players Mining Fatigue. Mining underwater is already a tiring task, and getting Mining Fatigue makes it even worse.

But one must face these mobs to get to the main chambers of the ocean monument. However, there is one workaround: players can blow up TNT blocks underwater, right above the monument’s main chamber, and then avoid facing multiple guardians. It takes some planning and effort but certainly makes the task comparatively easier.
