Minecraft is filled with all kinds of features that players can explore. The game consists of mobs, weapons, armor, various kinds of blocks, biomes, dimensions, and more. While most of what the developers work on is released, there are still a bunch of features they never released or kept behind experimental or commands.
Some of these are worth becoming actual features in Minecraft.

5 unused or scrapped features that can be officially added to Minecraft
1) Copper Horn

Copper horns were crafted using goat horns and copper ingots in Minecraft. While goat horns made a basic sound, these copper horns were great and played a long melody when used.
They were briefly added to the game under the experimental section in Bedrock Edition 1.18.30.27 beta and preview. However, they were removed and were not in the official Caves and Cliffs update.
Fans quickly discovered why copper horn was removed from the most recent update, even though Mojang didn't publicly disclose the choice. The item's appearance in the game fundamentally disappointed the developers who had worked on it. It was taken out of the update since it didn't meet their standards or the design objectives.
2) Giant

Giants are unused mobs in Minecraft that can only be summoned through commands in a world where cheats are activated. It is essentially a massive zombie mob with no AI but can take damage. It has 100 HP, making it a mini-boss of sorts.
This mob can also be officially added to the game since it can become a unique boss mob and head of the zombie hoards. Mojang can create new movement patterns and add a completely redesigned AI to it.
3) Luck status effect

Minecraft has many status effects that can be applied to a player. The luck effect is one of those that cannot be found in regular survival mode. Not long after it was added, Mojang removed the luck potion from survival mode, even though at first it was meant for all players to use. This indicates that in vanilla survival mode, no player can obtain this potion, brew it, or have this status effect.
In essence, the luck effect makes the player more fortunate overall when it comes to the loot table. This in-game technical file determines what kind of loot will be found in a naturally produced chest or by fishing.
This is a cool effect that can be added to the game for players to get a chance to be lucky and get good loot once in a while.
4) Illusioner

Another unused hostile mob in Java Edition is called Illusioner, and it can only spawn via commands. This illager mob, as seen in the image above, will never spawn in any raid, pillager, or woodland mansion outposts. The creature uses all kinds of different magic spells to attack players.
Its unique attack style makes it an interesting mob to be officially added to Minecraft.
5) Ruby

Before emerald, ruby was an earth mineral Mojang was planning to use as money in Minecraft. However, it was never included since Mojang developer Dinnerbone couldn't distinguish between ruby and redstone due to their similar hues.
Later on, green emerald was introduced as the game's new currency. Mojang can still add rubies as money or as a material to make different types of armor, weapons, and equipment.
