Exploring caves is an integral part of the Minecraft experience. Since most valuable resources are generated underground, players are forced to dig down and stumble upon cave systems where they can spot loot quickly. Hence, they must always be ready with all the necessary resources to successfully explore a cave and escape.
Here are some of the best resources players can take into a Minecraft cave.

List of 6 best resources to have while exploring caves in Minecraft
1) Bow with infinity enchantment or many arrows
It is safe to say that the caves will be filled with hostile mobs because of the zero light level on most blocks. Hence, players will have to be prepared for a fight. One of the best ways to fight these mobs is by sniping them with a bow and arrow.
Players can simply craft a bow and collect several arrows by killing skeletons, or enchant the bow with an infinity enchantment so that they can use one arrow infinitely. This will help eliminate the threat awaiting them in the caves.
2) Shield
Apart from focusing on the offense, players must also remember to defend themselves from hostile mobs as well. If these creatures attack, players will quickly lose health despite having decent iron or diamond armor. So, players should craft a shield and use it as a creature is about to attack.
3) Stacks of torches
Once players eliminate a few hostile mobs, they must quickly ensure that more creatures do not spawn. Since hostile mobs only spawn on blocks with zero light level, explorers will need several stacks of torches to illuminate the entire cave. Torches can be placed a few blocks away from each other as they sufficiently illuminate blocks around them.
This will somewhat spawn-proof the area, drastically decreasing hostile mob spawns. If players want to stop hostile mobs from spawning, they will have to check every corner for dark areas and place a torch there.
4) Crafting table and furnace
A crafting table and a furnace are two of the most important blocks in Minecraft. These allow players to craft and smelt loads of blocks and resources. These blocks are essential while exploring caves as well.
If players run out of torches, food, or tools, they can instantly craft them using these two blocks. The crafting table is even more important since it can only be made from wood blocks, something that can only be found in lush caves, which are rare.
5) Water bucket
A water bucket is a highly useful item in Minecraft. One of the most useful features of the item is that it allows players to travel vertically. Players can simply place the water on top of them on a higher block to create a waterfall. Then they can swim up the waterfall to reach higher ground. Similarly, water can be placed near a ravine or a deeper cave for players to swim down and explore.
6) Pickaxe with fortune enchantment
Players would want to make each minute count while they are in a cave. One of the ways to make their journey worth it is by using good fortune pickaxe to mine valuable blocks. The fortune enchantment is a powerup through which a tool can mine more valuable items coming out of a block.
For example, a fortune level three pickaxe can mine out approximately two to four diamonds from a single ore block. Usually, one diamond ore block gives a single diamond.
