Over the years, Mojang has added several new wood types to Minecraft. Wood is an essential resource that all players use in some shape or form. While most wood types were already in the game from its launch, many were added later on. Like in real life, Mojang tried to add various wood types with different colors. It is also worth noting that some of them were fictional. Moreover, differently colored wood blocks gave players more options while building structures with various themes.
