In Minecraft, there is a lot of vegetation that players can use in various ways. Tree leaves give out saplings, sticks, and apples, while tall grass gives wheat seeds to plant. Another vegetation that grows on and around trees is vines. Vines grow in both the Overworld and the Nether realm since the hellish dimension also has two biomes with tree-like fungi.
Here are all the three kinds of Minecraft vines and how players can obtain them.

When players roam around Minecraft's Overworld realm, they will find various biomes with different vegetation. Biomes like jungles, swamps, and underground lush caves generate normal vinces, which can be seen hanging from tree leaves. Interestingly, players can climb these vines if they press the jump button while standing close to them.
If players want to obtain these vines, they must have shears with them. Shears are tools that allow players to cut delicate vegetation, extract sheep wool without killing the mob, etc. One can be crafted using two iron ingots placed diagonally to each other in the crafting slots.
Once a shear is in hand, players must use it on the vine to break it and get it as an item.
Twisting vines
Twisting vines are generated in the Warped Forest in the Nether realm. They are cyan in color and, as the name suggests, look like vines that are twirling as they grow. Interestingly, they are the only vines in the game that grow from the ground rather than hang from the bottom of a block. They do not grow on any huge warped fungi but directly on netherrack or warped nylium blocks.
These vines can be obtained by breaking them with shears. If a player breaks the base block, other twisting vines above them will also break and have a 33% chance of dropping as items.
If players want more twisting vines, they can use shears with the Fortune enchantment, a powerup that allows players to get more items from a single block.
Weeping vines
Weeping vines grow in Crimson Forest in the Nether realm. They are bright red in color and have hints of light orange. Like regular vines, they grow from ceilings but are not connected to any huge crimson fungi.
Weeping vines can also be obtained by using shears on them. If a player breaks the top vine, other unsupported vines below it will automatically break with a 33% chance of dropping as items. When broken with Fortune-enchanted shears, these vines will also have an increased chance of dropping as an item.
