"Bedrock shouldn't hold back Java": Fans frustrated with Minecraft mobile causing over 3-year delay in bundles

Minecraft recently got the Tricky Trials update that added a ton of new features and items to both Bedrock and Java Edition of the game. The developers at Mojang Studios try to add content to both versions at the same time if possible. Sometimes, due to this, the Bedrock Edition causes delays for new items leading to frustration among players. While the differences between the two versions are diminishing, it seems that just one version of the game is still far ahead.

A Minecraft player and Redditor, Strong_Schedule54566 shared an image showing the crafting recipe for the awaited bundles with a long caption stating their disappointment. The post mentioned how bundles have been in limbo for years with no news of them being added to the Bedrock version of the game.

Reacting to this post, another user by the name of Togertot14 commented:

This comment refers to how the Bedrock Edition, which is designed to run on lower-end devices such as consoles and smartphones has caused a delay in getting new, more advanced items in the game.

u/MatiBScraft replied to the comment saying how the developers did not wait to add new items to both versions and just added new content to Java Edition such as the shield.

u/Helostopper alleged that the devs are having issues with the mobile controls of the game and hence bundles are available on Java Edition with experiments (which is only on PC and Mac.)

That did not stop players from voicing their disappointment with Mojang Studios. The original poster replied to the comment saying how the team has been unable to come up with a fix for two to three years. In reply, u/Helostopper mentioned it could be that this feature is low priority hence the delay.

u/lord_flamebottom commented that they do not understand why Mojang Studios cannot just make the Minecraft bundle work like backpack mods that are easily available on the internet.

Is Minecraft Bedrock Edition holding back the game?

It is not surprising when people want to pick the Java Edition over Bedrock. The former has native support for mods, has more features, and runs much better. Minecraft Bedrock edition is riddled with bugs and that can be seen very often.

It is worth noting that the Bedrock Edition historically has to wait for new features that Java Edition already has, and some of these are quite basic. For example, the Hardcore mode was added this year while the Java Edition has had it for over 13 years!
