Trial chambers are the largest, most imposing, and deadliest of all Minecraft 1.21 features. Flush with many types of dangerous mobs and incredible loot, players must be very well-prepared to take on these structures successfully. With so many different weapon and armor options available to players, each with unique enchantments, it can be hard to know what's the best pick.

Detailed below are the best weapons and armor to bring into trial chambers, along with the best enchantments for each of them.

The best Minecraft armor for trial chambers

When it comes to armor, players will want to use the best tier they have access to. While a full set of diamond gear is arguably better, iron armor is more than enough to take on trial chambers successfully. Diamond armor can also be very expensive in the midgame, when trial chambers are first explored.

When it comes to armor enchantments, there are three that stand out from the rest in terms of trial chamber utility. The first of these is feather falling. Trial chambers are filled with drops and pitfalls, which can quickly put players in the danger zone. Thorns is great for dealing damage back to attackers, and protection will make armor even more effective.

Swords

Swords are the weapon that most players will elect to use, and for good reason. They offer great damage and some of the best Minecraft 1.21 enchantments in the game. For example, players can put looting on swords for extra drops, sharpness or smite for extra damage, or sweeping edge to make Java Edition's sweeping attacks better.

Bows

Bows are the second-most iconic weapon in the game, right after swords. Bows are especially useful for attacking dangerous, hostile mobs at range. They also have several amazing Minecraft enchantments for combat, including infinity for unlimited arrows, flame for extra damage over time, and punch for sending enemies flying.

Crossbows

Crossbows are similar to bows, in that both fire arrows. However, crossbows can be kept loaded at all times, even in the inventory. This allows for several shots in quick succession from multiple crossbows.

There are three particularly great crossbow enchantments available to players. The first is multishot, which causes a single shot from a crossbow to launch multiple arrows. The second, piercing, allows arrows to pierce through several Minecraft mobs. The third and final is quick charge, which lets players reload crossbows faster.

Tridents

Tridents are quite hard to get, as they only drop from drowned or rarely from Minecraft vaults. Thus, players probably won't have a trident in store for their trial chambers endeavor. However, if a player is lucky enough to have one, the loyalty enchantment is one of the best for Tridents. It allows the weapon to automatically return to players, allowing players to throw it repeatedly.
