The Minecraft 1.21 Tricky Trials update added the trial chambers to the game and for many players, this addition is the highlight of the update. But many already existing areas in the game have received new content to make them more exciting and fun to explore. Here are the three best places to visit in the game after the update.
1) Trial chambers
A trial chamber is a labyrinth-like palatial structure that spawns randomly and can be found underground. The normal way to find these structures is by trading with a cartographer and upgrading it to Journeymen. This will unlock the trial chambers explorer map that can be then traded for.
The map will lead to this maze-like structure that is mostly made of copper blocks. The trial chamber is a dangerous but rewarding place that contains chests filled with rare loot and a ton of hostile mobs, including the newly added bogged and the very challenging breeze.
Players can clear out the trial chambers and defeat the breeze to find the coveted trial key and open the vault. The vault contains many rare items, but the one to look out for is the heavy core block that is used to make the powerful new weapon, mace.
2) Swamps and mangrove swamps
The swamps and the mangrove swamps were added to Minecraft way back, but unfortunately, they had nothing great to offer. In fact, there was no threat found in the swamps. Thankfully, the update will add the new hostile mob, bogged, to these areas.
The bogged is a variant of skeleton, just like the stray found in colder regions of the game. But unlike the stray, the bogged uses poisonous arrows to attack the player. When one combines the thickets of swamps and mangrove swamps with the bogged, survival does become more challenging than before.
Coming to the question, why would anyone want to go to the swamp to face the bogged? The answer is that they can get poisonous arrows by killing the bogged very early on in the game. Making poisonous arrows needs the brewing stand and the blaze rod, something that can only be obtained later in the game.
But with a good sword and a shield, players can go to the swamps and kill the bogged to get the poisonous arrows. It's also worth noting that using shears on the bogged will drop mushrooms.
3) Caves
The caves have always been an exciting place to explore as they offer rare mineral ores and other interesting items. The Minecraft 1.21 update gives players another reason to visit the caves - new copper and tuff variant blocks.
The update has added to the family of copper and tuff blocks, finally making the two more useful and worth getting. The tuff block is getting new variants, and although the tuff golem would have been a great addition, the current changes will do for now.
Copper is also getting new variants that include chiseled copper, copper grate, copper door, and much more. Finally, getting copper and tuff will allow players to do more than just make simple blocks out of them.
