What are the best potions for trial chambers in Minecraft 1.21?

Potion of Night Vision

Even though they're illuminated by copper bulb blocks, trial chambers in Minecraft 1.21 can still be pretty dark places. With that in mind, it doesn't hurt to brew some golden carrots into awkward potions in a brewing stand to make Potions of Night Vision. These potions will increase the light level to 15 in a player's vision, though the actual light levels will remain the same.

While they don't alter the spawning behavior of hostile mobs in trial chambers, these potions at least keep players aware of their surroundings so they can keep an eye out for stray hostile mobs or extra loot containers.

Potion of Slow Falling

One of the unique aspects of Minecraft 1.21's trial chambers is breeze mobs, which can be created by trial spawner blocks flanked by chiseled tuff blocks. While they can't deal much direct damage with their wind charge projectiles, these attacks can create a substantial amount of knockback, which can result in players taking plenty of fall damage.

By brewing phantom membranes into awkward potions, players can craft Potions of Slow Falling, allowing them to slowly descend back to the ground and avoid fall damage. This effectively neutralizes the only major weapon in the breeze's arsenal, making them relatively easy to defeat.

Potion of Healing

Though they aren't necessarily useful just for Minecraft 1.21 trial chambers, Potions of Healing are still helpful to have. Created by brewing glistering melon slices into awkward potions in a brewing stand, these potions work exactly as their title suggests. When consumed, they restore a player's health instantly compared to the healing over time provided by Potions of Regeneration.

With so many mobs to battle created by trial spawners and ominous trial spawners, and with dispenser traps scattered throughout trial chambers, players should be able to heal on demand. These potions accomplish exactly that. Plus, they can damage undead mobs created by trial spawners if converted into Splash Potions of Healing, which might be worth considering as well.

Potion of Strength

No matter how many players enter a Minecraft 1.21 trial chamber, they should expect plenty of combat to take place. While using ranged weapons is a perfectly acceptable strategy, breeze mobs can deflect most projectiles, so players will have to engage them in melee combat at some point. This is where brewing blaze powder into awkward potions to make Potions of Strength comes in handy.

Potions of Strength increase a player's melee damage output after being consumed, ensuring that they can take care of breezes in melee and any additional mobs.
