While many Minecraft players create structures like towers completely of their own design, it never hurts to look for some real-world inspiration sometimes. To that end, there's certainly no shortage of great real-world towers to draw inspiration from or rebuild in their entirety. All in all, many real-world towers are perfect for builders of any experience level to build in Mojang's sandbox title.
For expert players, real-world towers are a great way to learn different architectural styles in Minecraft, while beginners can use them as a template in-game to learn various building techniques. Regardless, if players are planning on creating a real-world tower in Mojang's sandbox universe, there are a few worth building for both inspiration and skill improvement.

5 real-world towers worth building in Minecraft
1) Big Ben/Elizabeth Tower
While it might be a clock tower, Big Ben is still a tower all the same. Its relatively simple geometry means that newer builders won't have to struggle as much when recreating it in their own worlds. Moreover, it can be built with several different blocks due to its color palette, and players won't exactly have to hit the world height limit to construct it.
It may not be able to tell the time so well (at least without significant redstone knowledge), but Big Ben is still a solid real-world tower to recreate that shouldn't be too difficult to pull off.
2) Leaning Tower of Pisa
If Minecraft players need a challenge with their next real-world-inspired build, then the Leaning Tower of Pisa may be worth a look. Due to the fact that the actual structure is misaligned, builders have to consider this as they construct, making the right block placement paramount. However, this very challenge is also what makes the Leaning Tower of Pisa great for learning building techniques in Minecraft.
It can take some trial and error to complete, but completing the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a rewarding job, and one that players can learn from when appropriate.
3) One World Trade Center Freedom Tower
Combining multiple techniques including asymmetry and panel definition, the Freedom Tower can be a long-term project, but one that Minecraft fans can learn a lot from and feel pretty accomplished once it's finished. Moreover, the size of the tower can effectively reach the top of the height limit, so this project is an interesting way to learn building techniques with that limit in mind.
Though different iterations of this build vary, the blue glass will take some time to collect regardless of whether players use stained glass or ice blocks, at least where Survival Mode is concerned. Obviously, players on Creative Mode or those who use commands will have an easier time.
4) Scrabo Tower
Constructed in northern Ireland in the 18th Century, Scrabo Tower is a relatively simple tower build, but one that can help players learn or perfect their medieval building techniques. It has a relatively simple geometry, though the roofing can take some time to perfect if they don't have much experience with constructing cone-like medieval roofs.
Be that as it may, Scrabo Tower is a Minecraft build that shouldn't take players endless hours, while still being able to instill a little knowledge for newcomers when it comes to medieval structures.
5) Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most famous towers in human history, and it offers a fantastic opportunity for Minecraft players to put their skills to the test. However, as demanding as this build can be, the real tower's lattice-themed construction is also a great way to learn more techniques for future projects. Lattice towers may not fit every build, but it's better to know their construction than not.
One of the best aspects of recreating the Eiffel Tower in Minecraft comes if players decide they'd like to light up the structure. If they do, they can create some absolutely gorgeous vistas when the sun goes down, just as the tower lights up the Paris skyline.
