The only way for Bedrock players to experience features similar to Snapshots is through the official beta and preview editions. Most pre-release updates like the beta and preview are pushed out for bug fixes and optimization but also include alterations to gameplay features. These allow you to try out features that will be released in upcoming updates.

The latest preview is the 1.21.50.20, which introduced features coming with the upcoming winter drop. This preview added the Pale Garden biome along with other content like the creaking mob, the Pale oak wood set, and ambiance changes. This preview also implemented tweaks to the existing blocks as well as changes to the gameplay experience.

There is very little difference between the preview editions and Snapshots in Minecraft. Snapshots are essentially updates that provide access to upcoming features for the Java edition. Similarly, previews provide access to upcoming features for players of the Bedrock edition. Hence, these are essentially the same releases, just programmed to run on different platforms.

Bedrock edition essentially refers to any non-Java edition of the game. The most significant difference between the releases comes down to technical updates and bug fixes. The Snapshots focus on fixing Java-edition-specific bugs and technical modifications while the previews provide updates and bug fixes specific to the non-Java editions of the game.

Another major difference between the two concerns the release date. There are usually a few days between the release for each platform. However, both platforms receive the same features when it comes to upcoming updates or Game Drops.

Additionally, the Bedrock edition provides features such as downloadable content, purchases from the Minecraft Marketplace, controller support as well the option to earn achievements and accolades in-game. Functionally, both editions provide the same base game for you to enjoy.
