"Congrats on the nightmare": Minecraft player creates creeper-like creature, leaving community disturbed

One of the reasons why Minecraft has managed to stay popular for more than 15 years is the community it has fostered. Players often make mods that add new and interesting items and gameplay mechanics to the game, transforming it into something totally different from the vanilla version. Sometimes, however, this venture can lead to some disturbing mods.

A Reddit user named VIPPRO_GUY recently shared a short video on the Minecraft subreddit showing a procedurally running or galloping animation in the game. The clip features a mechanical, spider-like creature that looks like a creeper made with nightmare fuel.

Reacting to this unsettling entity, Redditor ilovesandydogos commented:

"Congrats on the nightmare"

DigitalJedi850 said they were unsettled by the creature and jokingly asked if Mojang could add some googly eyes to it so that it looks goofy.

Meanwhile, heesell stated that it looks like the next-level creeper.

According to aweirdrandomguy, Mojang should give the creature a glow effect in the dark and make it spawn in a cave. To add to this, a user named SeriousGains said it would be even creepier if the entity could crawl on walls.

Meanwhile, Andrewthemanhimself joked that the creature will be coming with the Minecraft 1.22 update.

Redditor Coveinant quipped that the mimics from the popular game Prey have invaded Minecraft and asked if they have to smack all the flower pots now.

A user named Banana_suit09 simply said they would not be sleeping that night due to the creepy nature of the animation.
