Now that Mojang Studios has extensively worked on both the Nether and Overworld realms in Minecraft, many in the community are waiting for them to work on the third and last dimension, The End. The player base is also eager to get a brand-new official dimension from the game developers which they can enter and explore.
You may be wondering which of the two would improve Minecraft's experience more, and there are arguments to be made for either case.

Which would improve Minecraft's experience: End Update or New Dimension Update
End Update is due for a long time
Ever since 2019, when Mojang Studios released the 1.16 Nether update, players have been waiting for the developers to update the End dimension. The third and last realm of Minecraft has been quite desolate for the longest time. Elytra and the End Cities were added after the realm was created, but beyond this, the developers did not add anything significant.
After the Nether update, Mojang Studios started focusing on massively updating the Overworld realm with five major updates, 1.17, 1.18, 1.19, 1.20, and 1.21.
Hence, many in the player base have now been craving an update that brings loads of new features to the End dimension.
On the other hand, might intentionally be keeping the End realm barren so that it stays true to its original description.
A new dimension will open up massive possibilities for Minecraft
While many might want to see the End being updated, some are also hoping for a brand-new dimension in Minecraft. Since the sandbox game was released in 2011, it has only had three dimensions: Overworld, Nether, and End. All three existing dimensions are tied perfectly to Minecraft's underlying story and progression. However, over the next 15 years, Mojang Studios did not add any more dimensions.
When the 1.19 Wild update was released, it introduced the Ancient City structure that had a mysterious Warden statue in the middle. This sub-structure was made up of reinforced deepslate, a block that could not be obtained in survival mode.
The community soon started speculating that it could be a portal to a new dimension that the developers might soon add. Although Mojang Studios has not hinted at a new dimension, they may respond to player demand.
A new dimension would not only act as a brand-new location with various explorable biomes, but it could also open up the next chapter in the sandbox's fixed storyline.
In conclusion, an argument can be made that a new dimension would improve Minecraft's overall experience much more.
Firstly, the End was meant to be desolate and barren right from the beginning and could lose its charm and character with more features like biomes, mobs, and more.
Secondly, a new dimension would offer players a completely new experience, something that the 15-year-old sandbox could use to remain a timeless gaming masterpiece.
