The Creaking is a new mob that Mojang announced in its annual Minecraft Live event. The developer introduced and explored this creature during the event, which piqued the interest of millions of players. The Creaking is hostile in nature and has unique mechanics of chasing players and hurting them. Interestingly, it has some striking similarities to a famous neutral mob in the game: the Enderman.
However, both creatures are also quite different from one another in terms of mechanics, spawning, etc.

Similarities in size and shape
When it comes to similarities, both the Creaking and the Enderman have the same size. They are slightly taller than a player's in-game character and have slimmer arms and legs.
Furthermore, the Enderman has glowing purple eyes that can be seen in the dark, and the new Creaking mob has three yellow glowing eyes stacked on top of each other.
Differences in player aggro mechanics
One of the most unique features that Mojang has added with the new Creaking mob is the way the creature hunts for players. It is completely hostile and will sneak towards a gamer if they do not have it on their screen. This means that the moment they turn, the Creaking will start hunting.
In the case of the Enderman, things are somewhat the opposite. It is known by many that these mysterious pitch-black creatures get angry if players look directly at them for long. If their crosshair is on an Enderman for a few seconds, it will get angry and start attacking the player.
Difference in health
With the Creaking, Mojang has brought yet another unique mechanic, making the creature somewhat invincible. When the mob spawns in the new Pale Garden biome, players will not be able to kill it by hitting it's body with any weapon.
The only way to kill the Creaking is to destroy it's heart, which is essentially a special block hidden deep in one of the pale oak trees in the biome. Once it is destroyed, the mob will immediately disintegrate.
With the Enderman, players will simply need to fight them with a melee weapon since the creatures can dodge arrows from bows and crossbows. After several hits, it will die and may even drop an ender pearl.
Differences in attack power
Since Creaking is newer and spawns in a new spooky biome, it can feel scarier than regular Enderman most players know about. However, their attack powers are quite different.
On easy and normal game modes, the Creaking only depletes one heart of health with it's attacks, while the Enderman can tank 2.25 hearts and 4.5 hearts, respectively. On the hard mode, the new creature can take away two hearts with one hit, while the Enderman brings players to half the health with one hit.
Hence, the Creaking is trickier to kill but has less attack power, but it is the opposite in the Enderman's case.
