Minecraft is an interesting game, as its success has directly led to spin-offs inspired by its world, mobs, and artstyle. These spin-offs have different gameplay and bring with them unique features, mobs, and items that would make wonderful vanilla features. And with most of these spin-offs being recently discontinued, now is a great time to add some of their content to the base game.

In this article, you can find 10 features from Minecraft spin-offs that would make for incredible base game features, along with what exactly would make them such fantastic additions.

10 features from Minecraft spin-offs that would make the base game better

1) New Weapons

Dungeons was the first Minecraft spin-off to be released. It also has the largest catalog of potential content to bring to the base game. There are more than 100 weapons in Dungeons, many of which would fit in perfectly with the base game. Dungeons also have several new weapon types, like glaives, scythes, and spears, which could spice up combat, similar to how 1.21's mace has.

2) New Armors

Minecraft Dungeons also has more than 70 different armor sets in it, each with different properties, bonuses, and abilities. While not all of them would work in the base game, many would.

Take the entertainer's garb, which increases the duration of buffs, like those from Minecraft potions, by 30% and makes health potions heal nearby allies. These effects would work wonders in a multiplayer setting, and this is just one example of many different armor sets that could feasibly make the transition.

3) New Enchantments

Dungeons has too many enchantments to list, but some truly amazing ones would be super fun in the base game. Take the fuse-shot enchantment, for example. It allows players to shoot an explosive arrow in place of a regular one every few shots, or wild rage, which can make hostile Minecraft mobs go berserk and start attacking other hostile mobs.

4) The wildfire

While the wildfire might have been implemented in Dungeons, the idea came from the first mob vote for the base game. Known originally as the hovering inferno, or mob D, this shielded blaze boss would make for an amazing addition to the Nether dimension. They could act as minibosses for Nether fortresses, similar to the elder guardians that live in ocean monuments.

5) Spore Medics

Spore medics are one of the most interesting Minecraft Legends mobs. They spread netherspores to both heal other piglins and damage their enemies. Having a new Nether mob that can heal hostile mobs and use AOE attacks to control the player's movement would make bastions much more exciting to take on.

6) Melon golems

Melon golems are one of the most interesting of the many unique mobs that Minecraft Earth, also known as MC Earth, implemented. These are a snow golem variant with a melon for a head rather than a pumpkin. This is not the only difference, however, as melon golems can damage other mobs, unlike regular snow golems, by spitting melon seeds.

7) Skeleton wolves

Skeleton wolves are also from MC Earth. They are undead variants of regular wolves that are hostile rather than neutral. They also cannot be tamed. Their most interesting mechanic, however, is their howl, which would drastically increase the damage of nearby skeleton-themed mobs. This buffing ability would be unique, which is why it would be such a great mob for vanilla.

8) Bone spiders

Bone spiders are another mob from MC Earth that would make for amazing base game additions. These spider variants have reddish-purple skin and deep purple eyes and are adorned with white bone textures. Unlike regular spiders, these mobs have a ranged attack, as they can launch bone shards at players, dealing between one and three hearts of damage.

9) Mooblooms

Mooblooms are the inverse of the previously mentioned wildfire, originally from a spin-off. However, after losing their mob vote to the glow squid, mooblooms were forgotten about by Mojang. These cow variants have buttercups on their backs, similar to how mooshrooms have mushrooms on them. They are bright yellow and would leave a trail of yellow flowers as they walk.

This mob has been added to the game, along with all the other mob vote losers, thanks to a few different Minecraft mods. This means that players can use them in-game, even if it is in an unofficial capacity.

10) Rainbow wool

Rainbow wool, obtainable by shearing rainbow sheep, is a block exclusive to MC Earth. Its texture is that of a rainbow, with red on the left of the block in the inventory and purple on the right. This would make for an amazing block for colorful Minecraft builds, and the ability to make rainbow beds and carpet would be nice for decorating otherwise bland survival bases.
