And while many of these items cost Minecoins, a premium currency available for purchase, there is no shortage of amazing free pieces of content to try out.

1) Poisonous Potato

The Poisonous Potato Add-On is Bedrock's version of the Minecraft Java Edition April Fools update of the same name. Rather than being made by Mojang, however, this pack is made by Jigarbov Products, a creator responsible for some of the best pieces of content available on the Marketplace.

The Poisonous Potato Add-on brings new items, mobs, and weapons all centered around the otherwise useless item. It's missing the potato dimension and the fletching table use, but there's still several hours of content to check out from this wonderful free add-on.


2) Grave Danger

Grave Danger is an interesting tower defense Minecraft minigame world that adds an entirely new type of gameplay. Players need to go through a map and place down defensive allies, traps, and turrets to defend against progressively more difficult mobs. These custom traps and mobs all have amazing animations and sound design to go along with the intense and entertaining gameplay.

Emerald Tycoon is, as the name implies, a tycoon game based around emeralds. Such titles are usually similar to idle games, where players build up an economy to generate resources to continue building up an economy. Emerald Tycoon is no different, as players will need to mine, fight, and upgrade different structures to collect as many emeralds as possible in a very fun gameplay loop.


4) Terra Swoop Force

Terra Swoop Force is one of the most iconic free Minecraft Marketplace maps out there. The map is an elytra obstacle course set across several different maps. The combination of speed that players can reach with dangerous environments leads to a high-octane experience unlike almost anything else available. Marine Biologist Roleplay is an exciting and fascinating world ripe for exploration. There are 20 new aquatic animals found across the peaceful oceans. Exploring these seas is also easier due to the drivable submarine provided to players. There's also a secondary scavenger hunt for 16 collectibles to keep fans busy even after all the new mobs have been discovered.


6) 15-Year Journey

Released as part of Minecraft's 15th anniversary celebration, 15 Year Journey is a gorgeously stylized romp through the game's long and storied history. There are item museums, biome builds, and even interactive museum displays and minigames. Similar to the map released for the 10th anniversary, this is a love letter to the community in the best way possible.

Released as part of a collaborative project between Mojang and the BBC, Planet Earth III is a free Marketplace experience that's as fun as it is educational. There are several different animals that players can step into the lives of to play out pivitol moments of survival, such as hunting for food in the open ocean or trying to stay warm in the Arctic tundra.


8) DragonFire Lite

DragonFire Lite is the free version of the larger DragonFire Minecraft add-on. This Marketplace item adds several different kinds of dragons that can be found in different biomes.
