Minecraft 1.20 pre-release 2 contains bug fixes and technical changes. Here are some of the highlights:

  • The game will now display a message box on startup if the user enabled text-to-speech functionality, but it is unavailable.
  • Fixed bugs include dispensers getting stuck when placing boats or rafts, horse armor losing its NBT data when equipped on horses via right-clicking, ridable entities that can be steered, building up fall damage when on climbable blocks, and more.

Other bug fixes include:

  • Correcting encoding errors in the server.properties file
  • Correcting text formatting and capitalization issues in various menus and messages
  • Correcting breaking animation being one frame off
  • Correcting end crystal placement preventing ender dragon from spawning
  • Fixing spectator mode, moving the player down slightly
  • Correcting crying obsidian being able to create respawn anchors in the overworld
  • Correcting leash knot subtitles being not adequately capitalized
