Mojang released the Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.60.25 beta and preview on January 8, 2025. This experimental build introduces a host of new features such as falling leaves and wildflowers, as well as new pig variants. The update also adds changes to the behavior of existing blocks and mobs to improve the gameplay experience for players.

- Open Minecraft from the homepage, the game library, or the "frequently played" tab on your console.

- Now, select the "Download" button and wait for the game files to be installed. During the update, try to avoid turning off your console and ensure an active internet connection, to prevent game file corruption.
Android/iOS devices
You can easily try experimental builds and changes on Minecraft Pocket Edition (PE) for Android and iOS devices since Mojang introduced support for these devices. Here's how you can experience new Minecraft features such as the falling leaves and the pig variants on your favorite mobile device:
Android
- Head to the Google Play Store on your preferred device.
- Go to the Minecraft page or search "Minecraft" to open the store listing.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the store page and click the "Join the Beta" prompt.
- Wait for the preview files to get downloaded and installed. Once complete, this will replace the latest official edition with the Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.60.25 beta and preview.
iOS
- Download the official TestFlight app and head to the page of the Minecraft beta and preview.
- Sign up for the beta using your linked account. Next, you will receive an email on your registered ID for the beta and preview, including access links for the experimental version.
- Open the email and tap on the "View in TestFlight" button or click on the link to accept it.
