Minecraft: Bedrock Edition skins come in all types of designs, but sometimes players want to vanish when donning them. Interestingly enough, players can turn invisible using an in-game skin composed of transparent pixels. Since it's just a skin, hostile mobs can still see players unless they have the Invisibility status effect. However, they will be invisible to the naked eye.

If you're wondering how to install and use an invisible Minecraft Bedrock skin, the process is pretty simple, as it works just like importing custom skins. However, it should be noted that only Bedrock platforms can import invisible skins, including on Windows 10/11 PCs and Android/iOS mobile devices, as console platforms don't natively support this functionality.

Before importing an invisible skin into Minecraft Bedrock, you'll need an invisible skin to do so. Fortunately, multiple sites can facilitate this, and for this example, you can use Nova Skin, as they have several options when it comes to purely invisible skins.

Below, you can find a few steps on how to get an invisible skin and save it to your device so it can be used in Bedrock Edition:

  1. For this particular example, head to the website (Minecraft.novaskin.me) and open the search bar, then enter "invisible" and press enter to open a list of search results.
  2. Browse the available invisible skins and click the icon of the one you'd like to download. For a purely invisible skin, the icon should show a stock wireframe model of an in-game character with no added skin textures.
  3. After clicking the icon, you should open a small window that previews the invisible skin. You'll find a blue download button at the bottom-right of this window. Click this and then select an easily accessible folder on your device where you can find the skin later, as you'll need it in a moment. Then, press the save button.
  4. The invisible skin's .png file should then be saved to your device. Keep a mental note of where it's saved so you can import it quickly following the next set of steps.

To install an invisible skin in Bedrock Edition, you must use the dressing room/character creator feature and also have access to an invisible in-game skin. Fortunately, the first factor should be no problem, and the second factor only requires an active internet or data connection. Below, you can find the steps to install an invisible skin in Bedrock:

  1. Run your copy of Bedrock Edition and access the dressing room from the main menu.
  2. Choose to create a new character and then generate it from a classic skin.
  3. Click the blank skin icon under "owned skins" and then to the right of the window, click "choose new skin".
  4. This will give you the ability to choose a custom skin image file. Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the invisible skin file, select it to import the file, and exit the character creator/dressing room. Select either of the two skin models that appear afterward, as it doesn't matter since the skin is invisible.
  5. Your invisible skin should be equipped and ready to go!

It should be noted that although your skin will be invisible to other players once installed, it will still cast a shadow on the ground during the day, and as previously mentioned, Minecraft mobs will still be able to see you. Even though you won't be able to fool any creepers or zombies, you should be able to easily slip into the background when playing in multiplayer.
