After six years without new weapon additions, the combat experience in Minecraft had grown arguably stale, and fighting mobs felt more like a chore than a highlight. Finally, this changed with the Tricky Trials update, as it introduced a new weapon called the mace. This weapon comes with unique damage-boosting abilities, and players can craft it in the latest version using two easy-to-acquire yet rare crafting ingredients.
The addition of the mace was necessary and has changed close combat forever with its smash attack, which boosts damage when the player falls from a high point before landing a shot. The Minecraft Tricky Trials update didn't just want players to stop at crafting the new mace weapon. Therefore, version 1.21 includes a range of exclusive enchantments for the mace that further enhance its effectiveness in combat.
In this article, we delve into the mace's exclusive enchantments in Minecraft and teach players how to get them.

Minecraft guide to get mace enchantments
Minecraft has three unique mace enchantments: Density, Breach, and Wind Burst. Density and Breach are relatively easy to acquire, as players can get them directly from the enchanting table.
Wind Burst, however, is the rarest of the three and can only be acquired through ominous vaults in the trial chambers.
In case the player gets unlucky with the enchanting table's offers, they can break and re-place two librarians' lecterns until they offer the two enchantments, respectively. This is a much more reliable and faster way of getting an enchantment of choice.
However, in the case of Wind Burst, even librarians will not offer it. Since the ominous vaults are the only source with a small 5.5% chance of offering it, Wind Burst can be deemed as one of the, if not the rarest, enchantments in Minecraft.
How to use enchanting table and ominous vaults
The enchanting table is a craftable block that, when surrounded by fifteen bookshelves placed with a block gap, will offer high-level enchantments to players with an experience level of 30 or above.
Ominous vaults, on the other hand, function very differently. An ominous vault can be found in the trial chambers, and players need an ominous trial key to unlock it to have a chance of getting an enchanted book.
There is a 30% chance of players obtaining an ominous key upon defeating all the mobs spawned from an ominous trial spawner, a spawner block that appears when a player with bad omen effects comes close to a regular trial spawner.
How to use unique mace enchantments
The Density enchantment's usage is quite simple. When applied, it improves the mace's already overpowered smash attack by adding 0.5 extra damage points per fallen block to the net damage. Density has five levels, and the damage increase per fallen block for each level goes up by 0.5, reaching a maximum of 2.5 at level V.
Breach has a very fitting name, as its function is to reduce the effectiveness of the target's armor items, effectively breaching the armor. The enchantment has four levels, and for each level, the effectiveness of the opponent's armor goes down by 15%.
Wind Burst is arguably the most creative enchantment ever introduced in Minecraft. A mace with this enchantment creates a windy upward knockback effect when the player successfully lands a smash attack, launching the player upwards.
This gives the player a chance to land multiple smash attacks in quick succession, as they are constantly launched back into the air upon each hit.
