Minecraft's 15th anniversary promises new goodies each day, and one of the latest offerings includes a free map that explores the history of Mojang's sandbox game. In the 15th Anniversary Map, players can explore the game's historical museum, play minigames with friends, and solve puzzles as callbacks to Minecraft's past appear around every corner.
Fans who want to enjoy this free map will need a copy of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, which will give them access to the in-game marketplace. Downloading and playing the map is a pretty simple process, but just in case, it doesn't hurt to examine how to download and play the map.

As previously noted, those who want to check out the 15th Anniversary map will need a copy of Bedrock Edition. This can be on a Windows PC, a console, or on an Android/iOS mobile device. Players must be signed into the game with their Microsoft account credentials, as they'll need them to download the map. It can be installed again later if needed.
Players can download the 15th Anniversary map and play it with these steps:
- Open your copy of Bedrock Edition, sign in if needed, then open the Minecraft Marketplace.
- The 15th Anniversary map should be on the front page of the marketplace, but if it isn't, you can search for "15 Year Journey" in the search field in the top right of the marketplace as well. Either way, open the map's store page.
- To the right of the window, click the button that reads "free." When the purchase process finishes, click "download". An additional prompt will appear, so click the download button again. A short download tracker will appear and then disappear once the process is finished.
- If you'd like the play the map right away, click the "create this world!" button that should have replaced the download button. From here, set any parameters you'd like and then click the "create" or "create on Realm server" buttons, and you're all set.
That's all there is to it. Keep in mind that this map will be available for the duration of the 15 Days of Minecraft event at the very least, so players shouldn't have to rush to collect it. Still, it doesn't hurt to dive into Bedrock Edition as soon as possible and download the map, as there's plenty of exploring to do within the in-game museum and beyond.
