How to play the Transformers DLC for Minecraft
Once you dive into this Minecraft DLC and select your device/control scheme and complete the intro, you'll jump into the action to save Optimus Prime while controlling Bumblebee. It's worth checking the pause menu to get familiar with the controls. Keep an eye on your weapon meter to avoid overheating until you've defeated Megatron in the map's prologue.
From here, you'll find yourself in the Autobot base. From here, you can access your control scheme and switch the active Autobot you're using. Head down the hallway to the left of the Ark Support Systems screen and speak to Ratchet, who's patching up Optimus Prime. Ratchet will point you to where to find Kup, who will provide the details for your next and future story missions/quests.
At the console where Kup is standing, you can use the Teletraan to select your missions before departing using the portal in the base. Each mission has different objectives, but the gameplay is heavily similar to third and first-person shooter gameplay. Keep moving and firing while managing your weapons to prevent overheating when you're in combat and make frequent use of your dodge roll.
The first mission after the prologue should help you get better acquainted with the controls and mechanics, but there aren't too many difficult gameplay quirks or secrets with this Minecraft DLC. Once you've cleared a few missions, you should be in good shape to progress through the story and defeat the Decepticons wherever they appear.
