1) Find a village and a librarian

First things first, you must find a village where villagers dwell. There is no necessity to find a village where a librarian lives since you can simply employ any villager to become a librarian. However, your job might get easier if a librarian is already present.

There is a chance that you might get lucky and find a librarian already selling the silk touch enchantment in the first village that you find. However, in most cases, you'll have to put in a lot more effort.

If the village does not have a librarian, you must craft a bookshelf and then use four wood slabs to create a lectern block. This is a job site block that'll attract an unemployed villager once placed. After interacting with the block, that regular villager will become a librarian.
