Players who are always in search of aesthetic visuals have been looking for ways to hide particles in Minecraft to prevent their shots from getting ruined. Particles are the visual bubbles or artifacts generated from potions, mobs like the blaze, and so on. Particles can often cloud your screen and are a source of annoyance for most players.
Here's how you can hide particles in Minecraft.
Use these methods to hide particles in Minecraft
1) Hide particles in Minecraft Java edition
Chart New Territories with the ultimate Minecraft Seed Generator!
Minecraft Java Edition offers a very simple way for players to remove the annoying particle effects and allows you to get a clearer HUD, be it for stylistic reasons or to take your perfect screenshot. The game offers a setting that can be changed easily to modify the particle display.
Here's how you can hide particles in the Java edition:
- Open a new or existing instance of Minecraft.
- Head to the Options tab in the pause menu/homepage.
- Select Video settings.
- Scroll down to the Particles tab.
- Click and change the value from All to Minimal.
- Select Done and head back to your world.
Additionally, if you are someone who tinkers with mods, you can achieve this effect using add-ons as well. Here are a few options to consider if you wish to hide particles in Minecraft:
- Remove Potion Particles by BrandonTGS (mod)
- Remove particles by DennisXD (texture pack)
Most mods and Minecraft texture packs have world requirements as well as mod loaders that need to be installed before use. Make sure you go through the instructions before installing, to ensure your world is not affected or corrupted.

2) Hide particles in Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Unlike the Java edition, where you can simply toggle a setting to remove particle effects, the Bedrock edition requires you to use commands that can give you effects without creating particles.
However, it is important to note that this only applies to status effects you give yourself through commands — regular effects through splash potions or other sources will still generate bubbles.
But if you wish to give yourself status effects and hide the particles, use the following command:
/effect @s <effect name> <duration> <amplifier> true
Here, @s stands for you, the player. Once done, choose the effect you wish to apply. Then, choose the duration of the effect and the amplifier in numbers. The last step is to set the hide particles value to true. For example, if you wish to give yourself the poison effect for 60 seconds without particles, here is what you would type:
/effect @s poison 60 60 true
Ensure that the boolean value in the end is set to true to hide particles in Minecraft Bedrock edition. This is the only way by which you can essentially hide particles and prevent the bubbles from taking over your screen.
