How Minecraft can benefit from endermen variants

The Overworld and the Nether have received major updates over the years, but the End has remained relatively untouched.

Adding new enderman variants could completely transform this dimension, making it more exciting and immersive. Minecraft Dungeons introduced several enderman-like mobs called enderlings. These include the blastling, snareling, watchling, and endersent. The mobs have distinct powers, such as shooting projectiles or trapping players, which adds more depth to the gameplay.

Introducing such mobs further would not only expand the End, but also the entire Minecraft lore. An End update could finally bring balance to the game’s dimensions and fulfill one of the community’s most requested features.

How Enderlings can improve in the OG Minecraft experience

Each enderling could bring something new to the game. The blastling, in Minecraft Dungeons, is a fiery creature capable of shooting purple projectiles. This and the other variants could be adapted to the main game. The snareling, with its yellow eyes, could trap and slow down players using its sticky goop.

The watchling, covered in numerous eyes, would be a formidable foe summoned by the endersent. The endersent itself could act as a pseudo-boss. To expand on this more, the Heart of Ender could become the ultimate boss fight after defeating the Ender Dragon.

These additions would extend the End dimension's lore, making it feel like it has so much more to give and thereby adding to the game’s overarching story. The community has long requested an End update, and it’s easy to see why. The Overworld, with its frequent updates, is packed with content, while the End remains underdeveloped.

Adding new mobs like enderlings would not only diversify combat, but also encourage exploration. Players would have new reasons to journey to the End. An End update featuring enderman variants like blastlings, snarelings, and endersents could be the perfect solution to improving the variety in this dimension.

Apart from enderlings, Mojang could add new original variants to the game. The best thing about endermen is that they can travel and exist in all three dimensions. Adding them to the End means the other two dimensions could get them as well. These mobs could also drop some new items that would help players.

Ender pearls that are used to teleport add a fun element to the game, but once used, they are gone. What if after beating the Heart of Ender you get an item to endlessly teleport? You would still take half a heart of damage each time you do so. What would be better is the option to teleport other mobs with an item.
