How Minecraft Dungeons could inspire the next End update

Ever since Mojang Studios released the Minecraft 1.16 Nether update, many in the community have been craving for the developer to upgrade the End. The End is a realm where players go to defeat the Ender Dragon and finish the game. However, it has not received any new features, like biomes, mobs, and structures, for several years.

Mojang has an action-adventure RPG called Minecraft Dungeons. This game also contains an End realm, but the dimension has a lot more to offer compared to the original one. The developer could take notes from the Echoing Void DLC to make the long-awaited End update.

The End was added to Minecraft Dungeons in 2021 after being announced in 2020. It was part of the Echoing Void DLC, which completes the game's Orb of Dominance story arc.

Players can enter the realm the same way they do in the base game: by finding a stronghold and jumping into the End portal. From that point onwards, they will see how different Dungeons' End realm is.

The dimension not only has different biomes but also structures and blocks. Though there are End cities and gateways, the mobs roaming in the area are completely unique. There is even a void liquid that falls from some islands.

Mobs like Blastlings, Endersents, Imperfect Heart of Ender, Snarelings, and more are present in Dungeons' End realm. All these mobs have special abilities, appearances, and behaviors. The dimension even has a brand-new final boss mob named Vengeful Heart of Ender.

Players can craft new kinds of weapons like backstabber, obsidian claymore, void touched blades, void bow, and more. Shulkers can also be used to create new armor parts.

Many players believe Mojang Studios should update the third and last dimension of the base sandbox game. Unfortunately, the developer has not even hinted that the team is thinking of updating the End.

However, the Echoing Void DLC for Dungeons proves that Mojang has unique concepts in its idea pool already. The developer can also simply pick features from Dungeons and bring them to their original title.
