The ability to reset chunks in Minecraft makes it infinitely easier to enjoy new updates without having to create a new world. Resetting chunks essentially refers to resetting the areas you have explored to make it seem like they have not been visited yet. This is important during Minecraft updates, since many new features can only be found in unexplored chunks, making it a hassle.
Here's how you can reset chunks in Minecraft.
Note: It is recommended to make a backup of the world where you wish to reset the chunks since there is always a risk of world corruption during these modifications.

Next, you must open the world where you wish to reset the chunks. Click the Open world button and look to the left. You will be given the choice between Minecraft Java and Bedrock saves.
Choose your edition and access the dropdown menu. You will find the world you wish to edit listed on it. If you don't, close the app, and open it again. Select your world and wait for it to load. This usually takes some time, so it might feel like the app is stuck or has crashed. That said, there is no reason to worry as it is likely processing your file for editing.

Once your world has loaded, head to the three tabs on the left of your screen, and select 3D editor. Clicking this tab will load a 3D render of your world and help you reset chunks in Minecraft.
After the 3D render has loaded, head to the tab marked "Chunk," at the bottom. This will open up a 2D checkerboard of the chunks you have visited. Now, select the chunks you wish to reset by holding your left mouse button and dragging over the desired area.
Next, look for the tabs on the left and select the option marked "Delete Chunks." Doing this will bring up a prompt and give you two choices. Selecting Yes will allow you to revert your changes while choosing No will make these modifications permanent and reset chunks in Minecraft.
