How to get Minecraft Trial Top and Trial Leggings

One of the best parts of Minecraft's 15th-anniversary celebrations was the plethora of free character creator items given out to players. However, Mojang didn't stop providing cool customization options once the festivities ended. 1.21's release brought with it three new free stylish character creator items — Trial Top, Leggings, and Mask.

How to unlock and use Minecraft's new Trial Top and Leggings

1) Launch Bedrock Edition

The first thing you'll need to do to grab the Trial Top and Leggings is to launch the game. Make sure that you open Minecraft Bedrock Edition, as these are character creator items. Java Edition uses classic skins rather than the Character Creator, so these items are both Bedrock exclusives.

2) Enter the dressing room

Once you've opened Bedrock Edition, you're going to want to hit the Dressing Room option on the main menu. It can be found on the right side of the screen, underneath your player model. Dressing Room is where character creator items, like new tops and even Minecraft capes, can be applied.

3) Switch to a character

If you're currently using a classic Minecraft skin in Bedrock rather than a customized character, you'll need to switch back. You can do this by clicking the Change Classic Skin option in Dressing Room and switching over to the Character Creator tab. Hit Ok when prompted to switch from a classic skin to a custom character.

If you're already using the latter, simply hit the Edit Character option instead in Dressing Room.

4) Unlock the items

The Trial Top and Leggings are the two most recently featured items and are thus located right underneath the Featured Items text at the top of the screen in Dressing Room. To claim them, click on them, and hit the "Get" button beneath your character preview.

These items don't cost any Minecraft Minecoins, at least for the time being, so make sure to grab them while they're free.

Once you've claimed an item, the Get button will be replaced by an Equip button. Hit this if you want to go ahead and add an item to your custom character. Unless you do this for the Trial Top and Leggings, they will appear in your Owned Items.
