X-ray texture packs have been around essentially since texture packs were first added to Minecraft for the community to create and experiment with. These texture packs, as the name suggests, allow you to see through the ground, by leaving the textures of these blocks empty. This makes it incredibly easy to collect huge amounts of ores and other rare underground resources.

Everything about downloading, important, and activating a Bedrock X-ray texture pack on Bedrock for Windows can be found below.

How to use an X-ray texture pack for Minecraft Bedrock

1) Download the texture pack

The first step when setting up an X-ray texture pack to use is to find one for download. While there are options available for sale within the Minecraft Marketplace, there are also totally free options that work great. This example is using the free Bedrock X-ray pack created and maintained by the YouTuber The Breakdown, as it's hosted on a safe and virus-free website, linked above.

2) Import it

Once the x-ray Minecraft texture pack has finised downloading, installing it comes next. Thankfully, this part of the process is very easy, as it's totally automated. Double clicking the downloaded pack will cause the game to open and begin automatically importing it. After a short wait, a second message should appear, stating that the import was successful.

If the import fails for some reason, try redownloading the resource pack. While unlikely, it's always possible that the download corrupted, causing an issue. If this is the case, a fresh download should fix everything.

3) Activate the x-ray pack

Now that you've successfully imported the x-ray texture pack, you must activate it, either for an existing world or a new one. To add the pack to an old world, enter its Minecraft settings using the pencil icon next to its name. Scroll down to the "Resource Packs" section and click on it. Open up the "My Packs" list and search for the imported X-ray pack. Use this menu to activate it.

If you're setting up a new Minecraft survival world, you'll instead want to hit the "Create New" button and enter the world creation menu. Scroll all the way down until you see the previously mentioned "Resource Packs" section. From here, the process is the same.

4) Get to mining

Now that you've activated the x-ray texture pack, all you'll need to do is launch into the world and start hunting down resources. It should be easy to get whatever materials could possibly be needed for prolonged survival.
