Minecraft is an incredible game, not only due to its popularity over the last 15 years, but also how it has managed to create a community. What’s even more interesting is how the community creates amazing things that go beyond the gameplay experience. From making brilliant structures to supporting various causes, Minecraft has become more than just a game, and we now have another example of this.
Minecraft player and Redditor u/Chesno4ok shared a couple of images on the subreddit of the game showing something quite interesting. The caption said that due to some reasons, YouTube has slowed down in Russia. So Russian players decided to stream it in the game. It just goes to show how strong the game’s community has become.
Reacting to these images, u/vownido commented:

"humanity is truly astounding"
u/allasrawks commented that since the request for the video originated from an MC server, Google did not limit the bandwidth and hence, there was no slowing down. They deemed it a genius plan. Redditor u/BomBom159 commented that YouTube is blocked by the Russian government and the setup is probably using access via another server outside the country.
u/Luutamo claimed that they are getting all the information before Minecraft gets completely banned in Russia. To this, u/ThiccBeans_69 replied that players cannot buy the game in Russia and banning people who already own it would be probably illegal and Microsoft wouldn't want to do that.
u/Luutamo asserted that it would be Russia who banned the game and not Microsoft. Adding to the thread, u/No_Industry9653 claimed that it could go either way as US sanctions can force the parent company of the game to ban it in Russia.
u/nobody0163 asked how players decide what they want to watch. To this, u/KingRednax quipped that they would choose it via a "democratic process". Finally, u/DocFreon said that they also saw other people doing it through Garry's mod.
Minecraft players and their ideas
There are many times when players have devised some fascinating ideas and builds. A talented builder had used a complex Redstone mechanism to make a fully functioning Minesweeper game inside Minecraft. Another builder conjured a working Rubik’s cube that can be scrambled and solved.
