"It’s like GTA in Minecraft medieval edition": Player showcases city map of their impressive 3-year-old city

Minecraft villages are important structures in the blocky world as they allow players to get new items, trade with other villagers, and sometimes steal their beds when in need. That said, the only problem with villages is that they are very small with seven to eight houses at most. However, players can expand and transform them into flourishing cities.

A Minecraft player and Redditor, u/Jeff_the_Cabal, shared an interesting image on a subreddit where players share their builds. The image was of a city map that the original poster had been expanding for the last three years to the point that it started looking like a map of a game.

The original poster also explained that the city began as a naturally generated village but then they decided to grow it further while keeping the essence of the savanna biome village style. The expansion resulted in the creation of different districts with their unique themes.

Reacting to this build, user u/random_airsoft_guy commented:

“Very impressive it’s like GTA in Minecraft medieval edition also do you have any shots of the village from the ground? That would be kind of cool to see”

The original poster replied to their comment saying that they had different shots of the village, one was taken last year while the other one was two years ago. They also mentioned that they worked on it on and off, so they do not have anything up to date.

u/CopyVoid1 said that they want to do something like this but lack the time and energy to continue with a process that takes years. Some players also asked interesting questions about the map.

u/Shadeslayer_Eternal said that the build was cool, and asked how the OP made the map so detailed. To this, u/CookedHamWater said that there is an application on PC called “Unmined” that lets players upload their world and make maps like this. u/Shadeslayer_Eternal said that they play the game on the Bedrock Edition, and hence, won’t be able to use it.
