The upcoming Minecraft movie has created much buzz in the game’s community. Many fans weren't happy with what Warner Bros. and Mojang came up with. Players have started developing their ideas for the movie, discussing what the official movie could've been. The latest addition to the discussion is a fan art on the game's subreddit.

Artist and Redditor Dragon-Lou shared a fan art image showing how the characters from A Minecraft Movie would look in animated style. The artwork features four members from the cast, and interestingly, the artist made Jason Momoa’s character of Garrett into an iron golem.

Reacting to the artwork, sephiroth_for_smash commented:

They said the Minecraft movie should've been about a group of unlikely adventurers banding together to look for Steve and fight the Ender Dragon instead of the currently expected plot of the official movie.

Dragon_OS said the characters in this artwork have more charisma in their design and aesthetic than the official cast members in their costumes. Many players drew comparisons with the official movie, explaining how a simple artwork looks better than what Warner Bros. has made.

RedHandsome_128 asked the original poster if they could redesign Jack Black, who plays the character of Steve. Darkiceflame joked about how can someone redesign Jack Black who is playing himself. This was a dig at how Jack Black looked as Steve with his long hair and beard.

Aaaaahhhhahh said the artwork looks like Minecraft Story Mode game, and they love it. II_Confused made an interesting point: they said Minecraft fans can be like Super Mario fans and pretend that the first movie did not happen.

This is a reference to the first live-action movie based on the Super Mario game that came out in 1993, which was a major flop.
