Redstone is one of Minecraft's most iconic features. First added in the aptly named Redstone Update, this system of pseudo-electricity is responsible for all of the best farms available to survival players. This makes any new redstone addition or change quite a large deal. The 1.21 update is bringing with it quite a few new redstone components, which engineers should be familiar with.

Each Tricky Trials redstone component is detailed below, along with how these components work.

The best example of a redstone feature being added with Minecraft 1.21 is the revolutionary crafter block. This redstone component can take raw materials as input and craft them into more complex items as output. This single redstone component is going to change how farms work, as outputs will be able to be combined to automate the crafting of advanced items and components.

Wind charges

Minecraft's wind charges are also technically redstone components. Their main draw might be to allow players to jump high into the air to land mace smash attacks. However, they can also interact with many redstone components and other items, such as flipping non-iron doors, trapdoors, and levers, pressing buttons, ringing bells, and decorated pots break.

Potions of oozing

Oozing is one of the four Minecraft potions being added in 1.21. Brewed using a slime block, these potions will cause affected mobs to spawn two medium slimes when killed. These slimes will spawn small slimes when killed, which will drop slime balls as normal. This actually makes oozing potions an amazing way to make Minecraft slime farms that are surprisingly efficient.

Copper Blocks

The first copper block with redstone uses to mention is the copper bulb. This interesting light source emits light regardless of whether it has a constant redstone power source. Instead, redstone signals will cause copper bulbs to turn on or off. Additionally, different levels of oxidation emit different levels of light, becoming dimmer with more rust on the block.

Copper doors and trapdoors, both crafted using six copper ingots, are also redstone components. Like copper bulbs, a redstone signal will cause both of these blocks to flip. Opened doors will close, and closed trapdoors will open.
